PS3 HAN PS3Xploit v3 Debug Settings Installer + Debug/XMB Swappers

Now Supports 4.84 HFW!

PS3Xploit Team has unveiled the latest progression in the form of an experimental Tool (Debug Settings Installer + Debug/XMB Swappers) for PS3Xploit v3 HAN user's (tools compatible with CFW also), with the release of REBUG REX that means a 4.82 DEX Firmware is out in the wild and that means with 4.82 DEX files, PS3 HAN user's will not have some added features and was one of the reasons why developer HABIB was suggesting user's stay on 4.81 for use of these DEX features as the status was unknown if a public 4.82 DEX would emerge, but with REBUG REX CFW release, the various files for swapping can be done, but devs will lend more details about that throughout this thread.

@oVxzi yes, HAN Toolbox 0.3 supports DEX.

@DeViL303 is working on 0.5 to support both again AFAIK

going online as retail with DEX is frowned upon by the Sony Overlords and therefore will never be supported most likely

CFW like Rebug can do it because it can load DEX kernel and properly spoof

I mean like the is there a way to go online right now? Or do I have to put the restore files in to go back online? And cool!!

Yeah, just seen that from the post. All I seen was DEX and thought it was a toggle in the Debug settings. My bad. Will there be a new update to toolbox or something so it makes it easier rather then going to the web? And when will going online be fixed? I seen that we can't go online right now, lol.
The Toolbox uses our work but it's not our project, if you want info you need to ask the people developing it.
There is no plan to fix going online when using DEX vsh. This tool was released for advanced users wishing to experiment, you should always read the warnings before installing stuff on your console.

Does the debug settings allow you to access like the CCAPI menu or certain homebrew at all?

No. Tbh the initial reason for investigating these settings was Fake Save Data owner.
The Debug Settings alone cannot give you true DEX capabilities like running fself or TMAPI, you need the DEX kernel for that.

Damn, ok. Thanks. Another small issue I'm having is in the package manager when I go to install packages and standard, it just spins and when I click on it, it freezes for like a sec and just keeps spinning and nothing happens. You know the cause of this?

need more details..your best option is just install OFW again.

then run HAN Installer and check everything...then think if you really want DEX features :)

How to I wipe everything out? I tried restore file system and it's still there.

Like when I click on it, it open and i load up my pkgs then close it and try to open it again and it freezes my console to the point where it makes me connect my controller with the wire and hit the psn button and go through where it rebuilds the database.

dude, you are making shit way too complicated.

Step 1) Boot to recovery using buttons
Step 2) Download 4.82 PUP
Step 3) Install it on your PS3 from USB (Select System Update Option From Recovery)

And that will clear out package manager and shit so I can redo it all?
