PS3 PSNpatch - Releases / Usage Information (Official Support Thread)

I did this cause I thought it was to enable psn on a lower firmware but I did what it said and it didn't work when I did l3+r3+r2 and so I went in psnpatch and I pressed the ps button and then did the combo and the I went to exit it and then my ps3 restarted when I exited and then it went through the coldboot but after the coldboot it usually shows the warning sign but it didn't show it when my ps3 restarted and it stayed like that and is still like that as I am making this post. can anyone help?

You can't go to PSN on lower firmware, only on current one. PSNpatch only masks CFW, so if you're on lower firmware PSN will ask you to update. You should have cobra enabled and install plugin from PSNpatch app, if I remember correctly. Then the combo will work. And check that plugins file on PS3 HDD.

I'm aiming to PS3Hen my ps3 slim via hybrid firmware. One person on discord recommended me to use this to avoid the bad kind of PSN detection after the fact (not aiming to use a HEN'd ps3 online, mainly for light homebrew usage and digital game dumping)

Do I indeed need this to not get spotted by the PSN police after im done using my HEN'd console, or not? and if so, will it work with the hybrid firmware needed for 4.8.6 consoles

I don't know if this is the best place to ask for help but I've been having some problems with PSN patch. While using it online, my PSN account would log off for some reason. Any help?

afaik, it's not. however, it's firmware independent, so it should work with every future firmware. I don't know what all it does, but the three files that are sent to sony are deleted, I believe, then recreated automatically. those are part of the user's id folder. they're mentioned on psdevwiki under community spying when looking up network info.

Whoa, I didn't know that. I just thought it had reached a point where the program was perfect enough to not need any more updates. Unfortunately, though, I have a PS3 Super Slim with HEN, so it won't work on it.

I'm mot sure if PSNpatch is still being development...
Last version is from 28\01\2017...

As an alternative, can you try SEN Enabler 6.2.6 from 02\04\2020:

PSNPatch does not need any further development at this stage, it does everything it is supposed to do considering our partial knowledge of PSN ban mechanisms.
It's 100% firmware independent, it supports any CEX CFW (although I doubt that very old firmware versions like 1.xx or 2.xx would do but there is no available CFW for those anyway).

Having said that the dev is around, if some fix was ever needed, we could give him a shout.

Can I know what is the last version of cobra revision and version to be able to spoof using PSN pacth by editing CFG file.
thank you :)

ive done that but i think its still messed up. cfw shows red notifications? mine are still the same. but i do have cfw installed.
I don't understand what you mean. If you disable cfw using psnpatch all it does is disable some syscalls and unload itself from memory. After a reboot it all comes back to where it was before you ran psnpatch

i clicked on automaticly disable cfw on boot. so everytime i boot up i disable my cfw. my notfications use to show red but there normal.

I need help with this homebrew. I have just installed evilnats 4.87 cfw and I also installed the psnpatch plugin but my ps3 still goes online without me needing to press the button combos... at first, it wouldn't let me go online at all... I got an error when trying to sign in. Then I realised my IDPS and PSID had changed for some reason to all zeros... so I changed them back to default values. I'm now able to go online but isn't the plugin suppose to block psn access? am I missing something?
