rejuvenateunity.png

Are you a frustrated PSTV owner because don't own a Vita in order to have access to all needed files in to fully Rejuvenate your PSTV with PSM+ thus bringing life to the system finally? Something it seems even Sony has failed to do calling our beloved system a "legacy" device. Well wait no more folks the answer to all your prayers are finally here thanks to the marvelous mr. gas and SMOKE!! No worries about the [break].[/break]limitations of 3.51 & lower or the lockout at firmwares 3.52 and more.

Installation Method
Instructions:
1. Copy the UNITY-TV folder for your Unity app version to CMA's PSAVEDATA/<random numbers>/ folder.
2. Copy the savedata to your PSTV ( You will need to use VitaUpdateBlocker )
3. Make sure you have no notifications and are not downloading anything.
4. Rebuild database in recovery.
5. Using Outlook or Thunderbird, forward the eml to your email account.
6. Find any Vita app or game that has an update available, click update, and then pause the download.
7. Open the Email app and click the attachments one at a time.
It should show an error that says it could not display the image. DO NOT click the ok button.
Instead, press home and close the Email app.
8. Once you have installed both files, reboot your PSTV again.
9. Then, continue the download. The download should now be ~5mb. If not, something went wrong.
10. Once downloading is complete, open the Unity app ( You might need to install PSM+ ) and delete the 0000 "app"
11. You should now only have Vita Defiler Client installed in Unity. Now you can cancel the installation notification.

How to update if you have used this method before:
1. Simply FTP the Application & System folders from this pack to cache0:/VitaDefilerClient/
eg. I have Unity 1.06, so the folders and files I need to replace on my PSTV are in Unity 1.06/UNITY-TV/p/VitaDefilerClient/

Troubleshooting:
-To install PSM+ on your PSTV, use the Device ID your Vita assuming you have a Vita as well. (**Hint Youtube can help with this and will not risk anyone's account or system**)

Credits:
mr.gas for the trick
SMOKE for preparing files & writing instructions

**PLEASE NOTE**
PSM Unity v1.05 for 3.20 and below and PSM Unity v1.06 is for firmware 3.36+. Both are included here in the install zip. The latest EML File Generator 0.3 can be found here at Major Tom's github page. Also one MUST use Codestations (Windows & OSX flavors available) QCMA and since the PSTV lacks USB support one must set the app to 3.10, allow connection without internet, spoof with the latest VitaUpdateBlocker by iAmGhost. Both PSTV/Vita need to be on the same wireless network (yes it can be on a mobile hotspot using Vita Defiler reported here earlier today so a PC or Android is also needed pick your poison) in order for PSTV to see QCMA for EML trick. I use the "pportable" version of Thunderbird with my gamil account to send EML file to write to Vita memory card. This took a lot of work to figure out the right settings so I wanted to share and save you some time/heartache. If choosing Android over a PC you may want to have a look at the link I posted earlier here as all tools and apps needed by either PC or Android are covered between the two articles as well as all the latest up to date native Vita side applications. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I have.

Making bubbles is easy enough on 3.36 and bow manually. Also I have used pboots for 3.5x+ on 3.20 jsit swap out the files for my current FW like ARK/TNV but I am curious to try out that TN-X workaround. If you wouldn't mind posting it I'll give it a go tonight. Test PS1 bubbles as well via Vitashell

Thats a better method but still having bugs zzz. every bubble past page 3 redirects wrong.. REdirects to two differnt psp isos
doesnt help that the first page and half has all non delete able bubbles and i have no idea why. All the files are made properly and it doesnt matter which is bubbles are where and of what homebrew/psx game it still doesnt work.
Might have to just limit the bubbles to psp isos/ pspfiler/vitaftp/one menv2

And yea bubble blower can list maximum of 18 entries from iso/homebrew/emu etc

want add bubbles for 5 psp isos. / 5 emulators/ 3 utility homebrew/ 7 psx eboots/ one menu v2
5 in iso folder/16 in game folder not including teh 2 games for tnv and talkman

I don't think psx games work yet. though, the flow of vitashell has shown that it's possible, but nothing has been released as of yet. that could be ur problem.

PS1 can only be done via ARK loader ATM and lacks sound. It's the only public way as Sony limited PS1 file sizes to 256k the size of PS1 saves. No one has publicly released any info on the PS1 emulator.

Think you guys think I was talking about something else. I'mjust talking about bubbles made with bubbleblower.which uses tnv11 to run the backendfor the games. The bubbles redirect and runs the psp iso/emulator/homebrew/psx eboots through tnv which works with psx stuff. Just not as good as tnx psx exploit.

What happens to me is blow bubbles using bubbleblower + tnv.
Rebuild database.
Bubbles appear correct icons and everything.
Bubblesblown up to page 3 work correctly
Bubblesblown on page 4 and 5 redirect to random psp isos.
Edit: Not random isos just two specific ones.

And this doesn't matter what is blown or what order is it's blown
So the stuff I could have any psp iso/emulator/homebrew/psx fame between the last couple bubbles on page 2 (where content manager is on default layout) and all the empty space on page 3. The bubbles will work and redirect properly. Starting wih the first bubble on page 4 they redirect to the first two blown bubbles

Think I know why the bubbles redirect wrong though but can't test it till I home.

That guide is actually kinda old from like january laste year and there is a faster method available but have to use vita shell in order to use it. Can use pspfiller I think as well but its much faster to use vita shell. And the built in ftp makes like easier.

Bubbleblower is the fastest. But can be buggy.
Will try a modified method later bubble blower itself is based off qwikrazor pboot, homebrewloader.
It just uses tnv as a backbone to give more compatibility for the games

EDIT: Method didnt work but i know what happening though. The loader Names thing sce_bubble0-9
on bubble10 and up it redirects to the game from scebubble1 for 20+ redirects to bubble2. etc

renaming folder and param.sfo id doesnt seem to affect it though zzz

VitaShell Bubble maker is so hit or miss and really isn't good at all. The guide I posted works every time and has ZERO limitations. Would have been done by now instead of all the fussing around you are doing.

lol not using vitashell bubble maker using bubbleblower2 from hackinformer. just limitations. Also things that should work easy and dont kinda urk me so want to find the base problem.

The "problem" is the TNV-11 is a leaked BETA and not everything was implemented. TNV-10 was the last official stable build. Problem is Bubble Blower doesn't work with TNV-10 as Hackinformer had to do a hack job to get it working with TNV-11 as TNV-10 only support 3.00-3.20 & since TN left the scene due to the leaks and its closed source don't expect any fixes anytime soon. He worked on Bubble Blower to get it as far as it is now. Qwik, Acid and TN have left with no intentions upon returning. Kernel exploits have been patched as of 3.57 and the only one still available is keep secret with only a handful of devs with access. Due to the implosion with everyone dropping all the exploits at one time and everyone being butthurt while suffering from e-penis syndrome the Vita scene has been stagnat for a very long time.

ah well not much can be done then. less tnv11 gets finished
also half the links from the other guide are dead
think this is the same guide thoiugh just different site

vitashell can make bubbles? ur talking about the rejuvenate app, correct?

talmagal , the only thing I can suggest is to have fewer games in the iso folder. I'm not sure y ur having that issue.

it can to extent sign psp homebrew.

and it just limitation of bubble blower can only make 10 bubbles. any more than that link to the base number
scebubble1X redirects to scebubble1 .etc etc. or maybe tnv11 issue who knows.

Yes VitaShell can blow bubbles but it can't do retail games and it is limited on what homebrew it can blow bubbles for. Good news is it can make bubbles of the popular homebrew like PSPFiler, VitaFTP and such. My suggestion is use premade PBOOTS for ARK, TNV, PSPFiler, VitaFTP etc and save Bubble Blower for retail PSP games and VitaShell for PSP emulators. The next variant of VitaShell will blow PS1 bubbles as well as PSP retail game bubbles.

Edit.

Check this for more info. It also allows write access to the PSP/GAME folder above 3.36 as well

VitaShell updated to v0.2 by TheFlow - Hackinformer

so creating bubbles on 3.50 works with vitashell?

So long as it isn't a static elf till TheFlow finished his loader for native Vita homebrew since it can't rely upon ePSP or even ePS1 loaders for that fact due to the PSM sandbox. Made CPS1/2 bubbles with it and works great.

I ended up blowing bubbles for onemenuv2/ psp utility stuff and emulators
Will just run onemenu for psp isos. and tnx for psx games

One vita shell is a lil more stable with the blown bubbles will end up switching to using it. Would be nice to see a way to run vita shell native without having to connect to defiler. Then use it to run all homebrew. Maybe someday will be possible

well, I think it's best if I go back to being silent. the admin of ps3repack seems to think I'm full of myself, so I'd rather go back to being a person who doesn't help anyone. atreyu187 can help u far better than I can anyway. it's best if I remain silent with all systems based on how others feel. I never wanted that. I just wanted to pass on what I knew, but if that's what offends others, I'd rather not do so.

not drama, but hatred, because my tutorials were written for one site. I've been banned from several sites despite defending a lot of people including the ex-admin of ps3iso from the people of that site. my tutorials for the ps3 alone r nearly 100 pages long in ms works. I know EVERYTHING when it comes to the 360 which is more than I do with the ps3. I know most with the 3ds and vita as well. others know the same, but don't post. I could pass on my knowledge when people have issues or keep it to myself. there's a reason y aldostools considered quitting. if ur treated like shit by a lot of people, u might as well not bother. let others figure things out themselves. and, as u know based on this thread, certain scenes, like the vita one, lacks information, so u can either have me or not. I'm not losing anything by walking away. I chose to stick around despite being treated poorly on multiple sites.

understandable. Its one of the reasons why i wasnt more active outside of the early ps3 backup loader days. Seeing people squabble over lil things like features easily coded into stuff was kinda disappointing. Then egohotz and everything there zzzz.

but onto more fun things after wading around old and useless info going to end up installing rxtools and 9.2emunand for the beginning. Not sure how much i trust rxtools 3.0 inorder to get 10.5 emunand support. Less im misunderstanding and can do that with 2.6
You know any good methods to repair right trigger on O3ds? I always have tirgger issues with nintendo handhelds. My gpsp/ds lite/3ds all have trigger issues. either it be left or right always the contacts get messed up.
And might pick ur brain on what to do with a 360. I have one in my possesion that is actually low enough firmware to jtag still(old blade menu)
