Good idea, i'll definitely look into this.

Not sure if you've used those symbols before, but this makes it easy to use them, basically pasting the squares from the txt file in this DOWNLOAD works for XMB xmls, language xmls, param.sfo etc, so they are probably best approach for calling them, add new string to language xmls maybe that just has the square you want, then call that from rco, or call the symbol directly if possible.

You can match up the txt with the images in the download to see which is which.

Yeah it is, I mean learning what does what within the xml data and not just randomly editing anything

I see that You are using a nice XMB theme. But in latest version, network icon glow is fixed. I strongly recommending to switch to it.

The border is still technically there, it just uses a blank texture because when it's using its original texture, it follows the date and time therefore stretching across the entire screen.

Also I'll update the theme, thanks for the heads up

that's also interesting. a lot of areas of the xmb -- the text turns into a crawl if it's too large for the box. I did this to the video settings portion in system setting.

That is still technically there yeah, in reality it should still be under the date and time, for now it might as well be disabled for in the settings till I make sure so it doesn't cause any UI overlapping.

It's just I can't check where it actually is because the feed doesn't come up on my system.

One option could be to see can you call these symbols and emojis that are built into firmware. maybe PS symbol from this image or some other one from thread.

Wow, i forgot about it ( i used it in the title of my pkg,and in the mod i dont)
Now i can save some resources in my mod (i cant add anything more, or the xmb will start to show blank icons, PSP can handle 10x more)
i added the sony logo inside the rco, now i can add another thing

@bitsbubba XMBM+ 2K17 R2 is the latest XMBM+ and have three build in skins. So Rebugification fully covering up XMBM+, XMB theme, VSH menu and WebMAN Mod. Unfortunately not HAN as there are few new icons created specify for it but long after last update of "Rebugification Suite".

BTW: Probably the newest XMBM+ is just "CFW Category" (I'm not sure if I use proper name) made by @DeViL303. I like that idea more than crippled Game Category (not all things works as it should works because of Sony bugs and intended hardcoded limitations). So if there will be any updates to XMBM+ from me, for sure in the same form.

XMBM+ 2K17 R2 You can find in two forms: official one which means independent "dev_hdd0/xmb/" or as package made by someone ("dev_hdd0/game/"). It is not made properly and many things doesn't work (author wasn't correct all the paths for new location...). So beware of it.

Defo he does some awesome UI visual upgrade's.

Have you tried his REBUG toolbox UI stuff ?, its looks mint. I even packed it into the install pkg file for it if I need to install it again for what ever reason. The icons are spot on and the background of a PS3 mother board is top noche.

I can't recall the exact size (60-75KBs?) of the normal font size, but generally, you can use that to determine font size. it might be difficult to reduce the font size though. you might be able to change specific font size with ScaleWidth and ScaleHeight. iirc, that is the way to make a full screen gameboot. I've also morphed the default icons (icontex.qrc), and I only needed to double the size.

Could you tell me how you managed to get the feed to show? I can't fix it because i can't see the feed on my own system

I put an xregistry with valid psn account details in it onto my system, doesnt matter if console is banned, im not sure exactly which value it is that enables it though, ive been trying to find out.. just have not had time to go through each one. if you cant log in yourself, if you make a throwaway account on pc, pm me the details, then ill make you an xreg on my ps3 that you can use to enable it.

keep in mind you will lose all system settings if you do this (not data of course).
