.Coming Soon (original Article): As the PS3Xploit team continues the journey in an effort to bring PS3Xploit Tools and Hacks from 4.82 firmware to 4.83, a mission that is in development currently from @bguerville and @esc0rtd3w. During the research the team has stumbled upon a trick they decided to share very soon with everyone that entails the dumping of IDPS / PSID on 4.83 and lower and also is compatible with both Official Firmware & Custom Firmware along with any model PS3 Console. There is no exploit within this "release", this is only a funny poc to show that the Store app has untapped potential BUT this release DOES NOT bring us any closer to CFW installations from OFW 4.83 or the ability to use etHANol (aka HAN) hacks whatsoever. The team is currently still working on those other tasks and while there has been progress in their research for 4.83, it's a long journey and there are No Guarantees or Estimated Time of Arrivals. ​

The PS3Xploit Team has informed us that the release will take place within 24 hours from the time of this posting.

I guess this new method must be the PS Store and it's two methods used in javascript code. You had already discovred this way back when dealing with patches for NoPSN and way before PS3Xploit and HAN were ever heard of this. I think more methods should be of use to us, and we can also try to overwrite the sprx with other ones coming from different PKG and apps. Some sprx mining on the already existend sprx will also be a good idea so see what they provide.

I'm interested in looking at the js in those sdat files, the only annoying thing is you have to decrypt every one of them, lol... maybe I'll write a small script to do it all. But the way I see it is, everything to be found has probably already been found by yourself right, so what's the point?

did you make sure you have an active internet connect and date/time are set correctly?

a wrong date/time can cause the maintenance issue

also not much help from response...is this 4.83 OFW? you used the restore option?

4.84 has just gone live instead of asking in every thread if these are going to be compatible it is best just to wait for the devs to have a little time to investigate as none of us get a an advanced copy of the FW to figure if they are or not. Time is what we need as we're all in different time zone and lives outside of the scene that take priority. You'll know when we know, have patience
