PS3 SEN Enabler v5.8.3: New VSH Menu , Theme Tool, 4.75 Spoofing & more from Evilnat

PS3 Hombrew developer Evilnat has released a very impressive update to his popular SEN Enabler Application / Plugin. With this release marked as version 5.8.3 there has been new spoofing abilities for the recent 4.75 Firmware release. Also an option to install themes, while creating a SEN Enabler Theming tool for user's to create their own themes, Also in this update and following the PS3 VSH Menu of 3141card and his own optimazation to the vsh menu he has incorporated a very nice VSH menu for use with the SEN Enabler plugin.[break]ss[/break] As seen in the included pic it provides some nice eye candy and alot of funtionality to your XMB. Don't enable SEN access on PS3ITA CFW 4.65 DEX, it will brick your PS3 and i don't know why, next release will block this on DEX

Finally i updated SEN Enabler to version 5.8.3, it took me some days of full work because Sony released OFW 4.75, need to update it quickly

This version has the requested option to install custom themes, SEN Enabler only have one default theme installed from memory, if you want to install your custom theme the default one will be omitted and will show your theme when SEN Enabler is starting. This option is in Settings menu in page 4, under the name of Themes options. Here are theme all options:

• Themes: This option will show all available themes to install, it depends of Source option, if USB is selected will search in an USB device it and if HDD is selected will search in SEN Enabler's themes folder, when a theme is installed will be on SEN Enabler's theme folder
• Restore original theme: Restores default SEN Enabler theme
• Delete installed themes: Deletes all installed themes on SEN Enabler's themes folder
• Source: Select where SEN Enabler need to look for themes, USB or SEN Enabler's theme folder (HDD)

I added two themes along with SEN Theme Tool in the RAR file, SEN Enabler Default Theme [v1].sen and SEN Enabler Default Theme [v2].sen, the first one is old theme and second one is the current theme

SEN Theme Tool is the only app to make themes for SEN Enabler, it can create and extract themes, for extract them you need to select theme file and output directory, and to create a theme you need all PNG files from a directory (will search necessary files automatically), put a name and create the theme, you can use one theme as base for your custom theme

Thank so much to @3141card for his POC of PS3 VSH Menu, i improved it to load PNG from memory instead from files on USB/HDD, if you didn't see it here is the Source Code and SPRX, i'm using it as base for my plugin, you can use it and add your tasks or improve it

These are all the options:

• + : Open/close SEN Plugin options menu
• : Performe selected option
• Show IDs: Show current MAC/CID/PSID
• Show temperature: Show current CPU and RSX temperature
• Patch MAC: Patch current MAC
• Patch ConsoleID and/or PSID: Patch CID or PSID, depend what you want to patch with patch files
• Delete history files: Delete files sent to Sony
• Disable CFW/Syscalls: Disable CFW's syscalls
• Patch all: Patch CID/PSID, hide syscalls, delete history files and disable plugin
• Disable plugin: Disable SEN Plugin
• Reboot: Reboot PS3 system
• Shutdown: Shutdown PS3 system
• Language: Select language (English only for now)
• Patch files: Select source of patch files (USB only for now)
• Syscalls patch mode: Patches syscalls with mode Default/1/2/3
• Patch mode: Select option to patch IDs, auto search will find IDs on LV2/LV1 instead use offsets

It has his own configuration file, the old versions used SEN Enabler cfg, now you can use it without SEN Enabler installed on your PS3, and languages will be updated quickly along with other options

To all who spoof CID, be careful because you can be banned quickly now, SPOOF CID AT YOUR OWN RISK

For those who doesn't know how to enable SEN access, go to SEN/PSN Options and select Enable SEN/PSN access (pressing button three times in main menu) and not Custom spoof, 9.99 Spoof is not created to go online, so if you are using it DON'T LOG IN ON SEN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES AND NEVER ENABLE PS3'S NETWORK!!

Remember to use Charles Proxy now along with SEN Enabler and block three URLs (you can add more if you want), this software will minimize ban risk, but a ban is not 100% avoided on CFW

Block all these URLs on Charles or similar:

• https://es.np.adproxy.ndmdhs.com:443 (Maybe you need to change "es" to your region, "us", etc...)
• https://nsx.sec.np.dl.playstation.net:443
• xmb-e.dl.playstation.net

Sorry can't help if you can not provide the error code. It like saying "it does not work'.. It's to vague to provide anyhelp.

multiMAN is usually updated when the developer has times to do it. (which no one knows but deank)

Not needed i would disagree with, Spoofs is not needed, but it's other features can be used on 4.75.

He is on Habib 4.70. i think he was asking about multiMAN as that is why he is on 4.70 (i assume)

Sen Enabler has other features that PSNpatch does not have as well.

i use PSNpatch more, but SEN Enabler has alot of useful features also. Both good apps.

SEN Enabler v5.8.3 [4.75] [CEX-DEX]

As english is not my mother language I have difciculties to understand SEN Enabler v5.8.3 [4.75] [CEX-DEX].

So I trie to explain how I understood the subject of the SEN Enabler v5.8.3 [4.75] [CEX-DEX]. Please help me to understand.


First I install SEN Enabler v5.8.3 [4.75] [CEX-DEX].

Then I press two times the square button to install the spoof 4.75. This is clear.

Now do I have to choose and load the game via multiman? If not, where and when is it to do.

Next step is to enter SEN Enabler v5.8.3 [4.75] [CEX-DEX] and to press the following:

[x] for settings then L1 to protect ID's
[R2] to delete history files
[R1] for hide info then [R2] CFW Mode all disabled
Exit SEN Enabler v5.8.3 [4.75] [CEX-DEX]

What is to do now?

Do I have to restart the PS3 and to press one time [R2] and afterwards to sign-in?

Or

A restart is not necessary and I can sign-in directly?

Do I need psnpatch or does SEN Enabler v5.8.3 [4.75] [CEX-DEX] work without is?

I do not have "charles" to hide the mentioned url's. Is it obligatory. Do I have another posiblitiy to hide these url's as I do not have this program?

I experienced worse performance in games, namely GTA IV with sen enabler vsh plugin enabled. The game was loading slower, took one more loading picture to load the save and the game had easily visible worse frames per second.
Did anyone had the same problem?

Im getting some errors on my end...

First its a CECH2500A model. CFW Habib 4.70 Cobra 7.10 1.01. Webman mod 1.30.34 installed. Sen enabler 5.8.3.
(I know some people have reported issues with cobra CFW, but havent found anything official yet).
I use my PSN connection basically to download PSP games to my VITA and update PLUS games license. I dont play online and not willing to.

So:

1.- I log in with no issues. When i try to run PS Store app.. it prompts me to update the app... not the FW... I update and install fine. However when I run the app again it stay "loading" for several seconds and finally sends me back to XMB, doesnt log me out by the way.

2. Theres a way to queue games from PC Store... and when ps3 says "you have content ready to download", select OK and then gives me the download error code: 80025B0C.

Add. Those two scenarios happened once before. I rebilt database and everything was fine. This time it didnt work!.

3. As of today... My ps3 is giving me the warning that its too hot and I need to power it off. The fan doesnt seem to increase speed as my console gets hotter.

So COBRA gives me some advantages like ISO support for PS3, 2, 1 and even PSP. But it has been a pain with compatibility with other CFW-environment-changer apps. So I think I could let go of COBRA, but I NEED to be sure it doesnt actually work.

Any help is appreciated.

Hmmm, just boring, I test it. You are right, one pic more on loading(more precisely 1/2 pic ). Its a prob with the main while of the plugin.
The usleep() per loop round is 30, the frame rate of the menu, but the optimal sync for vsh is 70000. Even if the menu is not running, e.g. inGame,
the main while of the plugin ask all 30 usec for paddata, that's bad for performance.

Here is a sample with a main-while which run with the optimal 70000 usec vsh delay, and only if the menu is running it use the 30 usec delay.
(and 30 is only a number, it is the normal flip rate on ps3, but the menu is a stupid single frame with some text, not a fast action movie lol,
200 or the like is also ok)

I'd start by switching to rebug cobra 4.70.1, enable cobra, adjust webman settings (turn dynamic off then on), and then update webman-mod to 1.41.41.
That should help with the heat warnings, and get your system cooler. PSNPatch should fix the store app, you need to resign it to your fw, i believe...

I use sen enabler to spoof and that's it. i dont' use the vsh plugin or anything else atm. I know it has some cool nice features, but i've adapted to psnpatch for my "safety" and my sen enabler for my "spoofing" and its been pretty flawless ride

Try recovery mode. PS... You have E3 flasher mounted and you don't know what to do?

 

ohh yes. Recovery mode does not access and e3 was for the NOR flash, and yet, I get black screen and nothing works !

If you can't enter Recovery Mode restore CoreOS on your NOR with E3 Flasher, i saw another guy with this problem too but only on PS3ITA DEX CFW 4.65, yours is DEX?

Yes his fw is ITA DEX 4.65. Is common problem with that firmware? If yes maybe some brick warning should be added? Without flasher and correct dump your PS3 is bricked forever.

I saw people on this CFW and only happened on this CFW DEX... in the other ones worked perfectly, i warned already on twitter about it and i will disable SEN access on 4.55+ DEX CFW, i am so sad hearing about that

It overwrite or changes something in stage2 or sys_init_osd?
