PS3HEN Tips to avoid black screens & HEN init failures

NOTE: They are not specific versions for HEN. webMAN MOD has code specific for HEN, like the dynamic fan controller is delayed a few seconds after a game/homebrew is started to reduce the black screens.

So are they guaranteed to work on HEN? And also i have webman mod installed and freezes my ps3 when i try starting a homebrew especially multiman often, when i uninstall webman mod multiman works perfectly fine and also do i keep my webman mod? Or must i uninstall it before installing those 2 things

try setting fan to syscon OR update webman MOD to newest version.

I tried turning off fan or setting it to syscon and messed around with the plugin memory setting and updated webman MOD to the latest version, still no difference multiman and some other homebrews still freeze, i fixed the issue before but apparently it was temporary idk why its happening again i thought i fixed it permanently but its happening again believe it or not... I've tried every possible solution you could probably think off and it didnt work so i doubt this issue of mine will ever be fixed i try my best to keep my ps3 clean, no rubbish or filled storage the only homebrews i have currently apart from webman MOD are multiman, irisman and some XMB modification homebrew, i tried uninstalling every homebrew except multiman and webman MOD but webman MOD still causes multiman to freeze... Not until i remove webman MOD idk what to do anymore.

It never freezes my ps3 like that.
A straightforward solution would be to completely format your ps3 and do a clean install of everything.

I literally bought a new drive and formatted it, i had an HDD i thought maybe the HDD can't handle a lot of homebrews and stuff but its the same with an SSD i got which is a Samsung 860 EVO 500GB (yes... I bought a 860 EVO for my ps3) if that matters to know about, i think its just my ps3 super slim's system idk why.
 
I guess i need to start over with it due to my Webman/Multiman giving me headache.Sometimes it works sometime dark and i need to reboot my console again and again.Also my game were laggy

Try reinstall webman (change fan settings) if that don't work uninstall webman then install hfw twice reinstall webman if it still fails then wipe HDD and start over with hfw

That is a complete waste of time because I've done all of that and I've tried every possible solution it doesn't work, i think it just has to do something with certain PS3 consoles i just dont know what it is...

Hi guys, Im kinda new to this ps3 stuff. I have owned a ps3 for a long time now but i was introduced to HEN and Cracking console stuff recently. I´m a noobie when it comes to this stuff. I just need help with my device. I do not know if this is the right place to talk about my issue but please direct me to the right thread / section if im doing something wrong i really like this website.

So I had a friend who came over and installed the HEN for me, One day when i was cleaning my ps3 i saw that my ps3 is actually cfw capable, My Cech is 2004 and a letter, So basically I need someone to help me get rid of HEN and install CFW idk if i have to downgrade my console or anything but how does it work. I recently tried to reboot my console and HEN was still there meanwhile other applications were deleted. Dont get me wrong I like HEN a lot too but CFW is the best of all i heard so I want to try that cuz I´m a big Gta V online player and sometimes the mod menu screws up.

you can use the bgtoolset to jailbreak. don't enable hen first, just start ps3 and goto the site. make a nor dump and back it up. then do the patch. it will tell you to reboot. after reboot, install the cfw pup.
 
The only thing that keeps my PS3 Slim from freezing/black screennig when using Multiman etc. is to have Disc in the drive.

Without a disc it ALWAYS freezes.
 
Just have all games on internal seems to me best option I noticed games not working well and as for multiman on HEN I had to just not use it as worked once then just stopped working or it's very hit and miss I just use Webman Mod but the issue of freezing etc... On a external sometimes happens on my CFW console so not sure if it's because using a 2TB external as Fat32 with folder structure games
