PS VITA / PS TV [UPDATE v0.2] VITAident - Identifying Tool for PS Vita by Joel16

Considering the usefulness of 3DSident, PSPident and PS2ident, I decided on making a similar project for PS Vita. VITAident is a tool inspired by PSPident - which was originally developed by Jas0nuk and later updated by Yoti. The tool was used to obtain more information about your PSP's motherboard, firmware etc. Similarly the VITA version - VITAident aims to display more information about your PS VITA. It is currently a work in progress.

Do those battery stats always remain the same or do they actually change? I think it's useful to keep them :p

Always remaining the same for me. Actually i try to find my old psp charger and check that is related somehow to PSU.

Ok, i tried my psp charger but it's not sony one and it's look like is using impulse charging method. So my PSTV doesn't start on it.

 

It's ok, thanks for your results. I'm guessing the battery percentage is useless too since it needs to be always plugged in is it?

 

Yeah always plugged in so no change, I act I ally remove battery icon on VitaShell themes so I don't have to look at it [emoji14]

 

@kozarovv NVM the function tested was useless.

 

VITAident v0.3 is up. Sorry for the huge delay, I've been busy with my other projects.
Now there is also an alternate GUI version. (The GUI version updates values as you scroll through each section.) Check the screenshots below.

Changelog:

- Now grabs username (PSN user id)
- Displays CEX/DEX/IDU/Debug/Tool info.
- Model identification (PS VITA/ PS TV).
- Hide certain info that isn't relevant to VITA TV.
- Display accurate version under app information.

GUI:
- Fixed controls.
- Displays sub section titles.
- L/R trigger can be used to cycle through sub sections.

Version 0.5 is up. This is now a lot more identical to my other project, 3DSident.

Changelog:

• More accurate model detection for PTEL and PDEL models.
• Includes fself compression. (Please switch to Taihen)
• Displays values in their respectful colored category (example red star = red values, just like 3DSident)
• Detects whether the model supports 3G/WiFi.
• Display battery charging status.
• Now uses any key to exit the app (just like 3DSident)

GUI:

• Includes all of the above except doesn't use any key to exit.
• Added a minimal customization option to change the font color. (please update your ux0:/data/VID000016 folder)
