PS3 [UPDATED 3-3-19] webMAN MOD 1.47.09 - 4.84 CFW (CEX) Support Added

webMAN MOD has received an update after developer @aldostools provided details and code that needed to be compiled for the new update,. Since developer aldostools doesn't have a ps3 environment setup currently for compiling. He requested someone to make the compile for him and our very own @kozarovv step in and compiled the latest update for webMAN MOD that should provide proper 4.84 CFW (CEX) support for the popular plugin.

WebMAN MOD is a plugin (by @aldostools) which is a fork of the master project from @deank's webMAN (or sometimes unofficially called webMAN "vanilla") and while deank version is equipped with plenty of great features the "MOD" version takes it a bit farther and adds some new functionality not found in the original project, If you would like to learn more about the webMAN MOD plugin there is no better place then to checkout the official forum here in the psx-place forums with tons of information to get the most out of this handy plugin for CFW enabled PS3's with background plugin functionality (A Cobra CFW or a Standard CFW with MAMBA installed and equipped).

this Webman update has the v2.1.2a of Mysis POC? Just to know
No. When you use the combo SELECT+R3+L2+R2 webMAN unloads and uses this version of the video_rec plugin :
https://github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/tree/master/_Projects_/video_rec

This uses the values used for CELL_REC_PARAM_VIDEO_FMT_YOUTUBE_HD720:
CELL_REC_PARAM_VIDEO_FMT_M4HD_HD720_5000K_30FPS
CELL_REC_PARAM_AUDIO_FMT_AAC_64K

You can replace /dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_res/video_rec.sprx with the version of video_rec of your preference.

Indeed, you can replace it with any other plugin that need webMAN full unloaded. e.g. sman.sprx or webMAN lite edition ;) Just name it as video_rec.sprx

so i can rename the mysis POC v2.1.2a with that video_rec plugin? POGGERS
my issue right now is if that i replace that can i still record too? or is better updating the video_rec plugin. i just record combos and stuff and nothing else. Also how do i download the new video_rec plugin in github?

if you replace the video_rec.sprx and use the combo SELECT+L2+R2+R3, webMAN MOD will load the plugin "video_rec.sprx" and will unload it self. If you replaced the original video_rec.sprx with any other plugin, it will be loaded and will have all its features.

Alternatively you can use VSH Menu to load the plugin of your preference, then unload webMAN from XMB menu or with the combo L3+R3+R2.

The plugin video_rec.sprx is installed with webMAN MOD. You don't need to download it separately.

Check if you have SEN Enabler or PSNpatch installed... PSNpatch requires the syscalls disabled.
Also try checking if the Internet connection is enabled.
Or if you enabled by mistake the "offline" mode in /setup.ps3

Only Sony knows if you get banned... IMHO I don't see any reason why using Mysis POC plugin could result in a ban. It doesn't harm the other online users experience, like the cheats do.

The thing is i dont get internet access when i use Mysis meanwhile i disable it and i get internet access. Also when i use Mysis thru VSH the PS3 gets crashed and goes to recovery what should i do

Unlike PS3 games which game ids are stored in PARAM.SFO and in a constant address in the PS3 ISO (0x810), to detect the game id of a PS2 it is necessary to parse the root directory of the DVD.

When the PS2 ISO is mounted, webMAN scans the root directory of the DVD image looking for a file with a name like "SLES_999.99" or "SCUS_999.99" (and some others) to use it as the game id.

So, you don't have to name the PS2 ISO in any special way for this feature ;)

ps1 games should be .bin (and maybe need .cue for some). try to rip one as bin. convert iso to bin may not work for some. best to rip one as bin and try it.

they are ALL in bin/cue ...

i tested all the webman mod and over 1.47.22 both ps3 console dont detect the games , so i stay in 1.47.22 , everything is okay for me with this version...

Go to /setup.ps3 and try changing the plugin memory usage to Standard (896KB) or Max PSX+ or try enabling the 3072KB [MC] option. The option is in the section "IDPS & MEM Setup",

After reboot, you will need to rescan the content. The option should allow you to list more PSX games.

ok now i find it !!

Last question , very important to me :
whats the MAXIMUM size a HDD is recommended to be able to have the filesystem do the maintenance tasks properly and avoid filling up acummulating errors and eventually forcing me to format it ?? Please....
apparently despite remembering having ordered for a 2TB hdd it seem the real specs show it could be a 1.5TB finally.
did im safe with theses specs : PS3 slim cobra rebug 4.84
455GB free space / 1397 GB HDD Stockage : 461102 Mb free / Memory : 1912 kb Free ??
