PS3 webMAN MOD 1.47.06: Plugin now Supports 4.82 CFW CEX

Following the update to backup manager IRISMAN developer @aldostools also recently updated webMAN MOD, this popular PS3 plugin is a manager but in plugin form. It contains many and also different functions then some of the homebrew apps that are managers such as the mentioned IRISMAN, multiMAN (by @deank) or ManaGunZ (by @Zar). This plugin is small in size but packs a powerful punch with a huge list of features and honestly this does not touch all the features for the plugin. Really you want to disrespect aldostools, what's with the attitude?

I respect aldo, I only say that the PL translation is bad I have improved many things. If the translation contains Polish English and Russian, is not it too good?

There was nothing pleasurable about it, I'm sorry, I just asked aldo if he like to add a corrected translation to the wmm that I made and I do not want to send it on githube because once I sent it but I think I did something wrong. I think that doing something is doing it right or not at all :)
The language version between English and Polish did not agree with the actual state, some options were pointless and not grammatical. And I would like to add some bricks to the PS scene

How to update Webman MOD 1.45.09 integrated with Rebug 4.81.2 for the latest version?

No, if you have wmm enabled in the toolbox you can easily use the updater.
No trouble, I've done that before (not sure about the version though, but I believe I've done it with this one as well, shouldn't make a difference anyway).

Thats the biggest problem in your messages, you are telling the translation made by Razkolnikov sucks and is very bad, but this is the kind of laguage you would use with a friend that you know well... with a friend you can be explicit because is not going to be offended (most of the times, unless he invested lot of effort in it)

We dont know how many effort Razkolnikov invested in his translation, or if he could be offended when someone tells that "it sucks"
But there are high chances that he could agree with you...because there are some sentences that can be improved, or he was not so sure how to translte them (and you found a better way), or whatever, i dont really know but i dont have any reason to dont believe you if you say that there are some sentences that can be improved

Every single sentence from a translation is opened to discussion also, lets say there are 2 diferent persons that understands in detail how is working (so both knows very well what is the goal), it can happen that one person prefers to write the sentence in a way.... and the other person n a different way (and both sentences are right)... so is a matter of preferences and this needs to be discussed giving good arguments to convince the other... or to find an intermediate agreement

Also, because translations uses to be a lot of different texts or sentences... when someone proposes a new translation file is needed to discuss the changes of every one of the texts (but this could be imposible because one of the translators is not in the talk, or if posible it could be a huge mess of crossed forum talks), so is hard to know which one of the suggested sentences or texts is the best

And I do not say it sucked, it was a good base for me to completely edit this translation. I made corrections and changed the meaning more to that of the English version. Polish language is a difficult language and most of the things that appear in other translations in this case really may not make sense. I try to do very honestly and correctly as best as possible.
 
hey there @aldostools (or anybody) im on wMM 1.45.09 during ps2 games, there is no FTP , just during PS1, PS3...etc is this normal or has that changed in new versions of wMM?

I never found English, and Russian in Polish translation of wMM. Can you link some of those? Github have option to link to selected line in file.

@aldostools i'm missing 2 features, or i did not found them.
1. Focus on disc icon after mounting from slaunch (or at all, i did not tested other ways)

2. Remount ps2 game when exit ps2 emulator, and option to mount last disc at start is selected.

Im specially picky with this because i been working in managunz spanish translation since days/weeks ago, and while doing it i realized there are some english texts that could be improved too
In my first version i tryed to keep the same sentences from original english (translated but gramatically the same meaning), but after that i started modifying small things to improve the spanish version, then some more and later some more... up to a point that probably at this point i have made more than 15 versions of it and spent more than 10 hours messing around, lol
The result right now... is the spanish language in managunz looks much better than the default english :D
But now is when i need to report back to zar all this changes needed to do in the english texts, and this is a huge list, managunz translation files are big, is the kind of thing you need to spend around 1 hour to translate it completly
I dont know how im going to handle this report to zar... i guess im going to open a new thread in the forum to discuss everything because the modifications are going to affect other languages (the changes will make them a bit obsolete, but this was going to happen anyway)

Some time ago, in December, I was also doing Polish translation to Retroarch 1.7.0 and it was just a massacre of about 5,000 lines of text, some 50000 thousand characters. And as I look at this translation in the ps3 version today, I think that there is still a lot to improve. Making translations is also a hard job like a dev.

Kozarovv have here examples of mixing wmm translation in the latest version. I will send my version to github.

Looks like you are right. I'm rarely using Polish menu in PS3 (words like "paczka" killing every translation for me. Just prefer original name or plik pkg.). And to be honest I'm not use wMM xmb options at all. Good find.

I corrected the entire translation and now there should be no errors or untranslated words, and the meaning of the words has been changed to more "PRO", for example, the word "paczka" has been replaced with a more matching "pakiet" for the operating system and is grammatically correct. As I said, the translation done by Razkolnikov is not good, maybe it was at the beginning but by adding new functions to the wmm it probably did not change. Because I do not know which year it is. I sent the files on github to aldo.

I still prefer English on my XMB ;)

I think that Raskolnikov is not author of current translation. Webman says current translation author is mpq1671.
 
Indeed, the mpq 1671 ration is the author of the current translation of the rally, and so it was unfinished. If you want to check my kozarovv and rate.
