webMAN MOD

PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

To close this chapter once & for all.

I think it would be great to know how big this issue really is even if aldostools implemented a smart workaround in webMAN-MOD.

Anybody else out there with a 210x, both PAL or NTSC, & webMAN-MOD, could you please try the lpar1 reboot combo L3+R2+O.?

If it hangs after beeping twice, please report...☺

Any other model that experiences this issue, please report also...

Thanks Dino05.
Could you please tell me what CFW & which webMAN-MOD version you are using?

aldostools
The lpar1 reboot does not work on my 2104A, no matter the CFW flavour & version or CEX/DEX.
In your opinion, could that be due to something corrupted on my console?

I already have all the tools however do you suggest doing this in CEX or DEX?
Using the npdrm fsm pkg or the normal one?

While on CEX, do fsm installation of 3.55 with lv2diag.self, you can trigger fsm with toolbox

How can I make webman autorefresh game list? Like, if I start the PS3 with the NTFS USB HDD plugged, it wont refresh the game list to show them. Or viceversa, when theyre shown, if I unplug the drive, they keep showing . The only way I figured out to refresh the game list, is executing PrepNTFS (sometimes loading and refreshing multiman game list does the trick too, I think). Not even the "Refresh Webman gamelist" option work, even if I restart the PS3. This happened to me since long time ago, but havent used the PS3 lately, so I didnt care much.

Here is my config, I tried changing the "wait for usb device" options to different values, with no luck:

Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet

BTW, did webman used to automatically refresh the game list when you plugged/unplugged an HDD? I think it did in the early versions, but im not so sure.
So far, I found this, from deank on webman 1.11:

In my SLIM PS3 case with fast and slow USBs I have the following config:

1) /dev_usb000 is my slow USB HDD with all the content
2) /dev_usb001 is my fast USB stick with other stuff
3) In webMAN config I only have /dev_usb000 checked
4) [Wait for any USB device to be ready] is set to 0 sec (no need to waste time)
5) [Wait additionally for each selected USB device to be ready] is set to 5 sec - it means that webMAN will wait for 5 seconds for /dev_usb000 (my only selection) to be available

With this setup only 2 to 5 seconds are wasted and games are scanned and by the time XMB loads - "My Games" is already populated with content.

The issue is in the sprx that is not unloading properly... Most vsh menu plugins seem to have the same issue unloading themselves from memory.

Other plugins (e.g. SEN Enabler plugin) unload fine... However it has a very long name and the text looks overlapped on /vshplugin.ps3mapi

I don't see any info on how to properly uninstall and clear webmanmod off of my console. I don't want a trace of webman left so I can start all over with a clean install, as I have some issues with it not sticking after running the updater pkg.

Have a look at the updater's main.c code. You can easily make a list of the changes made to the file system by the webman installer & restore the original state.

I do not run the updater much though, I prefer replacing files manually as required & making backups as I see fit.

There is more in new webmanMOD (in latest, path are changed?), but deleting this should eliminate any files that can make problem when you juggling versions.

hdd0/tmp/wmconfig.bin
hdd0/tmp/wm_icons/
hdd0/tmp/wm_lang/
hdd0/tmp/wmtmp/
hdd0/xmlhost/game_plugin/mygames.xml
And of course plugin itself.

So deleting those files/directories and running the newest updater pkg, I should have no problems with it disappearing right?
