PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

I think that in the changelog you forgot to mention a feature.... I saw in flag.h the "screenshot XMB" combo -> L2 + R2 + SELECT + START (nice :), that when VSH Menu is unloaded works too)

This feature already exist for while in wMM, but now it's use the same code between them (screenshot vshmenu)

Yes. The old code was based on the code found in Mysis' POC 0.2 and it was buggy due the captured images contained garbage and refresh lines (rsx was not paused).
The new code is based on the screenshot function found in VSH Menu from 3141card (implemented on littlebalup's vsh_menu), with few changes by me (e.g. now allocates 14MB instead of 15MB)

BTW some of the new features (/klic.ps3, /play.ps3, /browser.ps3) are based on the code found in Mysis' POC 0.2, vsh libraries provided by 3141card and info found on ps3devwiki (Explore_plugin, Xmb_plugin and VSH Exports.

So credit for them ;)

EDIT:
[MENTION=161]Matsumot0[/MENTION] in the release notes, the following combos have missing the button O
L2+R2+L1+O -> /cpursx.ps3
L2+R2+R1+O -> /index.ps3

Another changes not mentioned in the release notes are:
- The installed plugins are now compiled without WEB_CHAT flag.
- Fixed "PS2 fan mode". Also this mode now is shown in SELECT+START and /cpursx.ps3
- /unloadprx.ps3?prx=<name> now allows partial name or plugin id (e.g. /unloadprx.ps3?prx=VSH_MENU)

Hey [MENTION=89]aldostools[/MENTION]
Can you get the folder back, so it can read from Webman MOD
xxx:PS3ISO/a/GAMENAME
xxx:PS3ISO/b/GAMENAME
You do it before in older versions.

The scanning of subfolders is still present in current and earlier versions. I tested it on web and captured the following image on XMB using 1.43.10:

[strike]Single letter sub-folders must be in UPPER CASE.[/strike]

so klic and screenshot features both work without webman vsh?

also, does klic get saved to a txt like mysis poc?

klic yes but XMB Screenshot feature not. The new screenshot is in the source code of webMAN MOD if you want to compile your own build.

/klic.ps3 responds in html. You can save the page or copy the text to the clipboard.

im still learning how to compile it :embarrassed:
Compiling is easy. The trick is to get hold of a Sony PS3 SDK.
Not that easy to find. It's leaked so in muddy waters...
Google doesn't help much nowadays. All links are too old & dead.
Never found much on Usenet either last time I looked.
Torrents are also generally incomplete even after 1 month or 2...
I only know of one torrent that is complete atm, a sdk version 4.00 from YLOD.
No offline installer but all you need to compile webMAN-MOD is there.
Good luck.

What's the current situation regarding the Singstar icon removal feature?

i got versions 1.92/3.40 and 4.00. those are only ones leaked i believe

Btw there are more sdk out there. I have a 3.60 that I don't use & even though I couldn't find a complete version, I have seen a 4.21(?) & a 4.50 that seemed genuine.
Other guys out there might be able to confirm..

It needs to be tested more... When I implemented it some users reported that it was working, while others reported issues. So I decided to not include it in the binaries.

I can't test it due my console don't have that annoying icon :)

New *test build* 1.43.11 :)
http://aldostools.org/temp/test/webftp_server.sprx

This test build is mainly focused on the auto-play feature.

- Launch the games from XMB holding R2 or L2 to auto-play it.
- Put your games in "/GAMES [auto]", "/PS3ISO [auto]", "/PSXISO [auto]" or "/PS2ISO [auto]" to auto-play these games without holding R2 or L2
- Or label individual game files or game folders with the tag "[auto]"

For the games tagged as "[auto]", hold R2 or L2 while mounting them from XMB to skip the auto-play.

L2+START can also be used to auto-start the game at any moment from XMB.

Going to test this early test build.
Just to make sure.
The auto play would now be working on ISO as well? We would need to create new folders with an [auto] tag for it to work?

The auto play works with JB games and ISO (except games that require a launcher like PSP or PS2 Classic)... maybe movies in BDISO or DVDISO will work too.

The [auto] tag is optional in the folders or files. You can create a folder like /GAMEZ [auto] or /PS3ISO [auto] and all the games that you put inside will be started automatically after mount.

If you opt to use standard folders /GAMES or /PS3ISO, you'll have to hold R2 or L2 when you select the game on XMB.

For the games in the folders with the tag [auto], if you DON'T want to auto-play them, hold R2 or L2 and the game will be mounted only.

Alternatively you can use L2+START at any moment.
