webMAN MOD

PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

I may have missed it or failed to find it, but in my PSPISO directory I have 200+ ISO-files of PSP-games, though the listing via XMB only shows 62 at max, whereas the webinterface shows them all. Is this perhaps a bug or a setting I've missed? All filenames are regular ASCII-characters.
Try the :but select:+:but l3: button combo to refresh the games list XML for wMM, and then reboot using :but l3:+:but r2:+:but cir:

The full list should hopefully then appear in the XMB webMAN Games menu.

I R STOOPID -> @github /aldostools/webMAN-MOD/issues/395#issuecomment-671339999, trying this.
There are various memory profiles that allocate different amounts of memory to each category.

Try Max PSP+ ( 368K PS3 + 768K PSP)
Also select 3072KB [MC] 4 - bg

More information about the memory allocated by each profile can be found here:

Will do, if this doesn't work - what information would you need?

Note: have used the PSP+ option, but not in combination with the MC option.

Edit: working :) - Thank you kindly for the support!

Hi, @aldostools

I'm currently using Webman MOD v1.47.31 with rebug 4.84 on a CECHL04 FAT ps3 model. I was previously using sMAN plugin. This ps3 model has a known bug concerning the fan: starting up the console will activate the fan at full speed. I've been avoiding that issue on sMAN by shutting down the console with the L3+R2+X combo. But that same combo won't prevent the fan from getting crazy every time the console starts up while using webman MOD with the default Auto profile (68ºC) on.

Nevertheless, if I select the Auto #2 option and turn off the console with the L3+R2+X combo, the fan problem is avoided successfully.

Is this the way it is supposed to work or the L3+R2+X combo should've also been able to avoid the fan problem with the default auto option selected?

Update: selecting Auto #2 + combo is not preventing the fan problem anymore. I don't know what changed. Reverting back to sMAN solves the problem since turning on the console after having shutting it down with the combo works. But I was looking forward to a solution while using webman mod.

Update 2: for those of you still looking for a solution: shutting down the PS3 system via VSH menu (press and hold "select" to open) solves the problem. The vsh shutdown combo (L3+R1+X) doesn't solve the problem: you have to actually enter the VSH menu and select the shutdown option.

Thanks.

After i update to 1.47.31 version and restart console, its stuck and the light blink green and white, i need to power off console unplug the NTFS HDD and disable auto verification, but if i use prepISO or multiman the list of the games its update. In the 1.47.27 its works fine and no bugs to me
My PS3 its Slim 2501a with 4.84 CEX Rebug.

Hi @aldostools

I have installed the latest version of webman, the ps3 crashes in xmb

PS3 SLIM
rebug 4.86.1

I usually test full version of webMAN MOD on my Rebug 4.86.1 before release. Version 1.47.31 worked fine on my console.

Try SELECT+L3+L2+R2 on start up or try entering to Recovery and rebuild database (IIRC you can exit without do anything too) to remove boot_plugins.txt

After reboot a second time, it should boot without plugins. After that you can install an earlier version of webMAN (e.g. 1.47.30 or earlier).
If the problem persists, it could be a HDD issue.

I have installed 1.47.27 and work fine

this is my problem with the latest version

It's weird that your system is freezing, while mine doesn't (also using Rebug 4.86.1).

I suggest that try using a static theme or a different theme (some dynamic themes may cause random freezes, probably due high memory usage at some moments). I'm not sure if the custom waves could be affecting memory too (I would restore the original if the problem is persistent).

Also disable the scan for content at start up. It usually cause issues at start up, due the system is starting multiple services and demanding memory from VSH.

could someone help me, how can i connect with the webman through the pc browser using the ip 127.0.0.1? this causes access denied.

I know this, I always use the ps3 ip and it works perfectly, but I want to know how to use the webman with localhost, is it possible?
Not sure what you mean...

WMM is a http server & localhost (local domain which resolves as 127.0.0.1) or 127.0.0.1 are loopback interface adresses that automatically point to local servers (ie if you use them in the ps3 browser, they will point to the ps3 servers), they are only meaningful at local level.
Same thing applies to your PC, if you use either of them, you will be calling the PC's servers. You cannot query another device's servers with loopback addresses, at least not unless you set up some kind of redirection system.

To query wMM from your PC you must use an address pointing to the PS3.
The best way is to use the PS3 LAN IP address (192.168.xxx.xxx) but in theory you could also
1. use the router's Internet IP if your router is configured to route Internet based queries on a dedicated port or widely to the PS3 (it makes little sense to use the Internet for a local server request but it is still an option).
2. use a domain name if you have a DNS server configured on your LAN to resolve the name to the PS3 local IP address (it makes little sense to use such a complex setup unless it's already in place for other reasons).
3. etc..

I suggest you tweak your router configuration to set up a static LAN IP address for your PS3 if it's not already the case. You should do it for both WiFi & ethernet if you switch connection type every now and again.
With static adresses, you no longer need to bother finding out the PS3 IP every time you need to query wMM, use FTP or whatever feature querying the PS3 from a PC or smartphone.
