I just added 23 more covers. if you have covers missing from the Launchpad please let me know and I will add them, Ill need the name and content ID. If you are not sure of the content ID of your games that are missing covers, one easy way to view them is go to Webman setup and select the option "include the ID as part of the title of the game" , then you will be able to see the ID on your game list.

@aldostools: getting a freeze with that latest test build, it seems to be something related to the placeholder item , because when I check the generated xml it ends just after the last function and just before the placeholder, it also doesnt add the final "</spc></nsx>" line when it freezes.

BTW: As a test I just went back to the original WMM sprx, and I copy and pasted my game list from a working generated launchpad xml into another xml 3 times and it reads fine on the XMB 2.5 times and then the list ends on the xmb even though there are more items in the xml, so I think the freezes I was getting before was something to do with either the size of the xml like you said or maybe some error in the generation like im getting now with the latest build. At the moment my Launchpad is showing 519 items, might not be stable but it seems to be here.

EDIT: fixed now, think it must have been the placeholder item causing the freeze.

Ok, Its not working but I think I know why. 2 reasons I think. Its to do with the timing. First reason is the data is being written directly to the wm_launchpad.xml file, so for example if I keep refreshing the ftp window I can see the xml getting bigger, but then at some stage the XMB will try to read the file, and it might not be complete when it does.

Second thing is, the wm_launchpad.xml is generated 99%, but then it seems WM switches to generating its own xml before its put the final tags on the file. I noticed this because there is a big delay during the writing of the file, then it adds a few bytes just as the games appear in the normal webman list.

I think a possible solution would be if your mod could write the file to a temporary xml and then rename it when its completed. And if it could complete (finalise) the file before it goes onto scan and write its own file this could help with the first problem of timing as it would speed things up a load, I realise this might not be practical or simple though.

EDIT: The limit for me seems to be just over 500, (actually its 512, miscounted) that is when I switch off scanning so I know the xml isn't being written to when booting and I make sure it has the tags. I can add more files to the xml and it wont break anything, but it wont show any more than 512.

If people are having the 8002015 error there is most likely a "&" in the title of one or more of their games.

ok so my freezing issue was a problem we discovered a while back, the "&" sign cannot be used it has to be replaced by "and" :p

Edit: I did notice too that one of my generated XMLs wasn't complete

Yeah seems the ps3 considers the "&" sign to be code even if its in a game title.

I only had 2 games to worry about, both of them were ratchet "&" clank games so I just renamed them in the param, sfo, but my PSP collection has lots of "&"'s so I rename the PSPISO folder to something else while im scanning so its not included.

This is one way that people could just add the games they want to Launchpad while still getting the xml generated automatically, Move the games you don't want included temporarily, then scan, then disable Launchpad xml generation and put your games back.

In this build I set the limit to 500. Also "&" in the title is now replaced with a space.

I think we can see the sorting issue later...

That is working fine here now, no freezes and its adding the 500 items properly. The place holder is included aswell. Also its now able to handle my PSP collection due to dropping the "&" . Nice work! If it could replace the "&" with "and" instead of space like bitsbubba suggested it would be nice too.

The only thing I still notice is that if you max out the 500 games then the 6 functions don't get shown, but that's not a big deal. If the functions could get added AFTER the placeholder then they would not show up when scrolling which would be nice, and they should still work fine for people as that would only bring the total up to 507 items (169 rows of 3 so it works out good for the layout too with no extra item on a row on its own).

If adding extras after placeholder a couple would show depending on if they're in the same line I believe, I haven't really did more testing but until I sort my PS3 out I won't be able to do anymore testing either

Yes ideally it would know if the games list was dividable by 3 (inc the place holder), and if it was dividable by 3 it would just add the functions, but if it wasn't it would add extra place holders to make it dividable by 3 and then add the functions, but that's getting a bit complicated, Im just really happy to have it working as well as it is.

All my place holders are clear in color as I'm hosting a transparent image for that purpose also on my ending placeholder I added a little memo that scrolls in the ticker under the clock

Edit: when you had your issue with the PS3, did safe mode ever come up or not until you formatted the hdd?

That's cool about having transparent cover for the placeholder.

No when I had the payload problem it would not enter safe mode at all. Problem I had was because I had mixed up 2 different payloads, and used the wrong one on a 4.80 rebug test build . I thought it had bricked but joonie said to use another hdd as the payload is on the hdd (virtual flash). Now you couldn't have mixed up payloads but it could have got corrupted maybe... You must have an old 20Gb or 60GB hdd around for testing?

- The "&" is now replaced with &
- The last 6 functions in LaunchPad are added even if 500 games limit was reached.

:( it's the scroller placeholder... I moved it to the footer, but I forgot to paste the 2 lines that include the code for country/language and </mtrl>.

The files were updated on github again... My apologies.

Thanks for another great update, but is happening different, webman mod 1.43.28 or 1.43.29 when use webman Installer, install sprx, X and the ps3 restarts and the webman rebug Edition that is active, I looked at the ps3mapi, sprx that is loaded is the dev_flash/vsh/module/webftp_server. sprx. Before using the installer, leave off the webman on rebug toolbox, but when I enter the rebug toolbox, it activates alone after using the installer, what am I doing wrong? CFW REBUG 4.80 REX, cobra enable
