Thanks for another great update, but is happening different, webman mod 1.43.28 or 1.43.29 when use webman Installer, install sprx, X and the ps3 restarts and the webman rebug Edition that is active, I looked at the ps3mapi, sprx that is loaded is the dev_flash/vsh/module/webftp_server. sprx. Before using the installer, leave off the webman on rebug toolbox, but when I enter the rebug toolbox, it activates alone after using the installer, what am I doing wrong? CFW REBUG 4.80 REX, cobra enable
webMAN installer detects what FW your on, since it sees REBUG it is going to install webMAN on flash and activate it
Edit: for the ps3mapi version I believe you want to hold L1 when installing for full version

Thank you very much for your reply bitsbubba

well I got it up a going thanks for the tip, I believe hdd was corrupted, now all I need is to change IDPS so I can get back on PSN (systems been banned for a while now)

I wonder can I make an xregistry.sys file here on a PS3 that isn't banned and then you can use it? should be ok as thats all that's required for XMBPD anyway, I don't think there is any unique console info in it is there?

Ill PM you one to test now if you want, if it works I could make you one with your own details or if you know someone with CFW nearby you could do it yourself on their PS3 (to save you having to give me your details or change passwords and stuff).

Thanks for the new webman update, working great.

I need some advice, here in Portugal temperatures are begining to rise with summer at at the door temperatures can reach almost 40 degree celcius were i live, what settings on the fan option on webmanmod is recomended?

Try setting the dynamic fan control to 68C and PS2 mode to 40%. Maybe you'll need to adjust these settings, but start with these.

Check the temperature often until you find your ideal values.

Something is wrong with the temperatures for me, i set the value as you said and after i played like half a hour and quit to xmb the fan started to go like crazy and in vsh menu showed 80ºC on cpu turning my console off when i was whatching those, i turned it on again and the fan started to go crazy before i even get to the xmb but gave me time necessary to turn of dynamic fan control on the setings and after i done that the temperature was in 56.

Think im going to keeps my hands away from this settings, im to afraid to mess with those now lol.

If you're playing PS2 Classics or unloading webMAN to play PSN games, then it's possible that 40% is too low for you. Try using a higher value, like 50% or 60%. If noise is too loud, increase the TV volume ;)

If you're playing PS3 games or movies, then it's not normal that the temp go up to 80ºC if you set the dynamic fan to 68ºC and keep webMAN running. The fan should have increased automatically while you're in-game, not when you return to XMB.

Make sure that you saved the settings when you changed them. For me 68ºC and 40% in ps2 mode should be enough in most of the cases.

Also consider to check your thermal paste... 80ºC for too long is dangerous.

BTW you can show the temperature in-game pressing PS button, then SELECT+START.
If you hold SELECT+START for few seconds, you will hear a beep, and the popup will show persistently. Hold SELECT+START for few seconds to disable it.

I actually have all my personal covers hosted on dropbox, just edit wm_launchpad.xml (dev_hdd0/temp) and put the public links in it's place, I've also used covers hosted at http://www.gametdb.com/PS3

I have no launchpad I'm on rebug 4.78 with webmanmod 1.43.29

but I was able to install the version 0.10 on Rebug 4.78 Rex.
And now it looks like on the picture

That is v0.10 working as it should , you can read HERE about how to add your games manually.

It would be easier to use rebug 4.80 and Launchpad v0.11 of course...But if you really want to try the auto generated xml (that webman mod 1.43.29 creates) on Rebug 4.78 and Launchpad v0.10 you will need to manually remove the extension from the xml located at dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_launchpad.xml and move the file to the root of dev_hdd0 with the new name dev_hdd0/WebMAN_Launchpad

EDIT: after changing the xml you may need to clear the cache and reboot if you don't see any changes. There are a few ways to clear it, manually deleting the dev_hdd0/tmp/explore/nsx folder is one way, or using the webman function shortcut inside Launchpad is another (if its there in your version of the xml), or you can press triangle on the Launchpad icon and select clear cache (this last method also deletes other files such as XMBPD pkg lists and PS store adverts so I would recommend one of the other methods.

Just install the webMAN in full mode for me to use the LaunchPad or I need to do anything else?

You need to use this installer to install the Launchpad, it is a separate add on to Webman.
http://store.brewology.com/ahomebrew.php?brewid=295 , You will need to install this pkg and then run it and select Launchpad from the options. The installer also has the option to install XMBPD aswell but if you want you can just install Launchpad.
