@atreyu187 created a rebug theme. he showed it to me. that's probably as close as ur gonna get. ecfw was patched partially with 3.52, but permanently with 3.57. need a new xeploit. systems now r probably going to have to be hacked by exploit rather than full blown cfw. the 3ds may be the last to be fully hacked as long as u do a9lh which has gotten easier with a new guide that halves (if not more) the steps needed. it was around 200 steps originally, and it took me 6 hours to do on each an o3ds and a n3ds. it was worth it though since it's unpatchable.

Honestly, i do no think deank minded much at the time as he was not active there when it occurred. He left the site before he banned, the ban was not the reason he left there. He left by choice if memory serves me right. This is 3-4 year old drama, i am sure most including deank has moved on and this i would surely expect this is not why deank is not around in the scene. As this happened so long ago and he was active for much later after.

Only lost was to ps3hax. No one else was affected.

you were banned on a daily basis sometimes more then once in a 24 hr period

I got banned too, but I've been banned from everywhere aside from ps3news and maxconsole (ps3crunch). :-p
 
I got into a vicious argument with the staff. they kept attacking me, I had to defend myself, until they got bored, then it was a banning. seems to be how many bannings go on that site. I had a few people pm on crunch telling me that the same thing happened to them. one of the people was one of the moderators on crunch.

Disagree with staff (or VIP member) will definitely get you banned there
 
I think so. he texted me a photo of it. I'm not sure if he still uses it. I had a theme on my 3.50 system and updated to 3.60. the theme remained after the update, so I know it's not lost when updating. app.db stuff shouldn't be, just locked out in the case of say the pkg installer. he might still have it.

I think what started it was saying something about how toxic the scene was. I think a lot of those staff members have either been demoted or banned. the site boasts 300,000 members, but I seem to recall at least a year ago, that only 2,000 or so were active. I'm sure most of those people were banned for rolling a five instead of a six.
 
@bitsbubba , btw, the theme I'm referring to was a theme 2 meaning a theme that's registered as a theme instead of replacing the default icons (like the icontex on the ps3). the former is only installable on 3.30+ when themes were introduced. I don't know what would happen if u simply replaced the default icons and updated. it might revert back. not sure what firmware @atreyu187 was on.
 
probably. attacking members is encouraged there. to be fair, as long as u don't have an opinion, ur fine.
 
well, there is a reason a number of their devs moved to gregory's site. they had similar grievances.
