  • NEW LOOK OF XMB;

From this version, the FERROX takes a new look.
Ideas realized by dear MiZiO90, who worked to make the coolest FERROX CFW around!
    It is not a theme.

    It is some internal changes.
Changes were introduced to 'clock, the horizontal lines in the screens, in colored lettering, to' Full Banner at the top right, in the section 'System Upgrade', to the menu screen that appears when holding down the PS button, and a new logo FERROX pulsing during uploads.

    A large lavorone!

You want to see the screen?
Open the spoiler to make a 'better idea of the new look !!

    333.png 222.png image.png

Combined with the new Look with your theme you prefer.
Or maybe combined with a Wave!
It comes out a XMB fear

PS. The Logo FERROX bottom right, is only visible to 1080p resolution.
I think we all still play with the 'HDMI. Then no problem!

  • Tips INSTALLING THE CFW from the developer;
    • Download the CFW at the bottom. Rename the File .pup exactly: PS3UPDAT.PUP and confrontatene the 'MD5 with what you find at the bottom! You can use the Tool md5sums.
    • Take a USB FAT32 formatted, and create a new folder called PS3, inside this create another 'other still called UPDATE, and inside latter' inseriteci the PS3UPDAT.PUP File, which would be the custom firmware.
    • Insert the USB in the far right of the PS3 port.
    • Be sure to: Remove any disc from the player Ps3, Remove any games loaded with any Manager, Disable Internet Connection.
    • Ok. You can choose to install the CFW from the XMB or from Recovery.
    • On the XMB will just go into 'Settings' column, then 'System Upgrade' and choose 'With storage media'. Select the CFW and will start the process.
    • To enter Recovery Instead, turn off the console. Turn it back on by holding down the Power button until the console is turned off again. Now turn it back on by holding down the Power button until you hear two beeps very close. Then release the Power button! Recovery time from the menu, select 'System Update' and follow the instructions.
    • For a clean installation, you can install 2 times the CFW. You can also go back into Recovery and click Options for Rebuilding the Database and Restore the System File. So you'll have a setup more than clean and safe.

hi guys, need help pls, i downgraded my ps3 slim from 4.75 habib to rogero 3.55 , need to know couple of things here
1)how to activate or check qa flag status ,do i need to activate qa flag before upgrading to cfw 4.80 from rogero 3.55 cfw ,if so then how i need to enable qa flag.
2)how to upgrade cfw 4.80 from rogero 3.55 cfw. pls help me on these issues.

Some time ago was tool called PeXploit, but i think that is not working on 4.80. Also if this is homebrew pkg then even if you will install it, then installed program will not gonna work due to missing keys.

So best advice for you is to sell that ps3 and buy jailbroken one.

Awesome skin, is there a standalone version of such skin?

if u mean the color edits, my tutorials explain how to do it. I even have some information about what files do what as far as editing goes. for example, the image for shutting down the system/turning off the controller is inside the impose_plugin.rco (main xml) if u want to do that. the circle/cross portions outside of the impose plugin r located in the system_plugin.rco with the text being referred to as "labels" in the same rco. the software_update_plugin.rco is for the image for upgrading ur system software.

I updated from Cobra 4.70 (or 4.60 not sure), spoofed to 4.75. Working great now. Do I need PSN Patch with this CFW for safe connection or it has some built-in protection?

You need to use psnpatch (or SEN Enabler) no matter what the cfw is. There are no in-built protections as you suggested.

There are other ways as well .
For example you could fully disable syscalls/delete history with webMAN-MOD or use DEX mode.

However PSNPatch remains the reference & the recommended way to prepare a CFW for PSN connection.

What do you mean by using DEX mode? I am intrigued. Is it considered safer?

Not at all...
I just noticed that a fair number of DEX users don't bother with anything & apparently don't get banned...

I don't advise it to anyone though because why take risks when a plugin & a combo can save you the trouble.?
Personally I use only psnpatch, whether in CEX or DEX.

Yea noticed that as well with modders for lobbies and such.

Exactly... At first I was not taking those comments too seriously but with time & an increasing number of users actually adamant over it, I kinda revised my opinion...
I still don't advise it because as I said, psnpatch is automated with the plugin & its memory footprint is of no consequences on the system so avoiding its use doesn't make much sense.
However one cannot deny the obvious if a number of DEX users have been doing without it for years...

On another note, I was also thinking that psnpatch plugin could be added in Rebug CFW... With a toggle in the Toolbox as well as the id spoofing options.... Wouldn't that be nice?
