PS3 4.83 CFW / Homebrew Apps / Plugins / Tools updated for 4.83

His explanation is what i do not understand, either i am not understanding what he is trying to say or he does not understand what a dualboot firmware functionality is.

I am afraid I have to agree, it's also unclear to me.
Releasing a customised DB fw branded as DB is likely to make people think it is just as safe as using a DB fw; for all intents & purposes it might be but we don't know that for sure & probably never will. If we did, DB fw would have been customised for release long ago. Because of that I think the release notes probably ought to clarify this point.
 
Could someone please help me how to use SEN Enabler on Rebug CFW and play webman loaded game online?

If your console is not CFW compatible, you are left without any options. There is nothing you can do but wait until a new exploit comes out for 4.83.

If your console is CFW compatible (old FAT models & slims CECH-2xxx), you can still jailbreak your console using a hardware Flasher like Teensy or E3 but there is no software based jailbreak solution for 4.83 for the moment.
 
Can we use the cfw pup from this thread to go from ofw 4.83 (i accidentally upgraded, wanted han in fist place tho) to cfw 4.83?
or will i need a hardware flasher for my nand to go to 4.82 ofw? i made thread on this alredy.. srry about splling

Hardware flasher would be the only current way

If your console has Original Sony Firmware 4.83 on it, you can NOT use any custom firmware on it "unless you use a hardware flasher to downgrade" .. There is no expected date as to when a new software exploit may be found.
 
might want to try wmm on 4.83. the official build says firmware 4.75 iirc, but the one by @kozarovv shows the correct firmware (couldn't find the post with the link to confirm). however, both builds work perfectly fine aside from that one thing.

Just an idea but checking the first post of this thread would be helpful .........................

Just a correction it was posted by @kozarovv but compiled by someone else from original source
 
I see. I wasn't sure, but considering kozzy's abilities, I thought it might've been him. ;) I had the link in my bookmarks' bar, and I have the app on both 10TB hdds of mine in a folder named ps3 packages, where I store every package I have installed on my ps3 along with their raps. :) that's just in case something happens to my hdd or something. :-P the moral of the story is that it's safe in case anyone needs it. :D

speaking of web man, does anyone know why sometimes ftp server does not start? i sometimes use win 10 explorer to do simple transfers and filezilla for something big
but sometimes both can not connect....i have set directly the ps3 to PC with an ethernet cable, usually it need to rebbot the PS3 in order to webman start the ftp server in background..but sometimes need 2 or 3 reboots..

is a common issue or is just me?
