PS4 Dev Al Azif (@_AlAzif) is currently working on a website for exposing the scum in the PS4 hacking scene.
The website (as of now) will be on ( fakes.exposed ) which is currently offline, but will go online once ready.
Azif states on his twitter that the website will have a " Bullsh!t rating system" and will breakdown fake exploits and explain why they're fake. The extension will then alert the user if it finds any "Faker" on a website or will block it entirely.

There is an appeal process for fakers, but it's just a one chance in a lifetime, if violators get appealed and then fake stuff again, their name/website will stay on fakes.exposed forever with a mark to show that a chance was given .

His github for the site currently lies on :
https://github.com/Al-Azif/fakes-exposed/
(details better explained from him, rather than me)
So help him out if you can ;) .

no offense, but I'd think that before hacking or exploiting any system, you'd at least do some research or get your info from a credible site. I mean when someone comes here and asks if something is fake when there's no mention of this hack or this site... this is how bricks happen. :-/

The problem is that people are willing to believe fakes, perhaps it is because it gives them hope.

While I do agree, but sometimes even research can be misleading. Now imagine you know NOTHING of console modding/hacking , and you wanted to get a let's say PS3 and jailbreak it, you go to Google , "latest PS3 jailbreak" low and behold, first handful of sites that pop up on Google : ps3customjailbreak , ps4portal, etc ..
So you go out and let's say buy a PS3 super slim , and then you are still waiting for the confirmation of the survey lol

I think the problem is lack of reading. people will believe a video tutorial for no real reason other than the fact that it's easier.

edit: btw, might as well go completely offline with the sandisk connect or the esp or self-host using xampp if on your pc or kws if on your phone while blocking using dns or blocking the urls directly rather than using some website. you can also cache offline. :D

It's hard to get people to read and fallow a real guide on a trusted site so it shouldn't be much of a surprise that some will always fall into these trap.
One problem with a list of bad sites/people is that the ones that see the list are already here because they know better or they already fell for a fake.

what I find a little funny is when someone posts a question asking if a particular site/video being real. well, if you have to ask that question... ;) I'm still a noob when it comes to the ps4, so I ask a lot of questions myself. however, I ask from sources I can trust rather than jumping in blind and assuming something is real. I highly doubt anything will deter people from believing the wrong thing.

Yep, thats the real problem, most that are caught in that fake sites is people that is not used to search patiently in google, or are so desperate that searches with the idea of "i want to believe"

And i bet there is a group that thinks... "ok, it looks fake... but im going to try it anyway" :P
