I switched to spy CFW hoping it would fix my black screen on ps2 isos but still no luck. What am I doing wrong?
 
Why shoeld we wait for rebug & starbuged insted of cobra?
And whats the difference between rebug and cobra?

Sorry for the stupid questions becauce i what to learn more about it :)

Cobra is not a CFW; it is a payload which integrates into the CFW to add extra features e.g. backup ISO support. Rebug has Cobra integrated in it anyway.

SPY Cobra is currently the only truly stable and reliable CFW on 4.85 that is available to us. Personally, I'm sticking with Rebug REX 4.84.2 for now as I see no reason to update.

So I got to the CFW after following the step by step YouTube tutorial, this is the only step that won't upload, after going for the CFW the Cobra was the only one left to select. After loading back into the PS3 it says no content found. Any help would be great!

You're having issues installing the PUP file for the SPY Cobra CFW? It needs to be in: X:\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP where X is your drive letter and the CFW is renamed to PS3UPDAT.PUP (.PUP being the file extension). The drive needs to be in FAT32 format with MBR (GPT partitioning is not compatible with the PS3).

Yeah I think most cfw's have Cobra. Stick to what you like. :)
I had rebug for ages and it's great with lots of options specially with toolbox but since I had to get myself a ''new'' ps3 that came with 4.85 I thought I was screwed but thanks for Joonie with this HFW made it all possible. Many thanks Joonie!
Then I seen that Spycobra was the only cfw available so what the heck gave it a try even tried overflow and downgraded to rebug 4.84.2 but i stuck with spycobra. Works great. Tested ps1 ps2 ps3 games and it's all good. Happy with it.
 
Ah yeah I forgot to mention another thing:
I backed up my copy of Alien Isolation onto the PS3 but then game wasn't launching properly so if you backup your games to hdd I suggest to goto games on multiman and click square I think and tick internal and BD mirror so you let the system know what it is.
I never had to do that on Rebug before and that's what it keep me wondering why the game wasn't launching so now I tend to organize all my games like that.

Yes but you do that only on folder format games. ISO does not required that. Games in ISO are superior to folder format in any way.
 
if i update to cobra or hen can i go later to rebug if the 4.85 verdien comes out and how can i do that?

There is no sense in removing CFW in favour of HEN. Also, Cobra is a payload and not a CFW or exploit on its own. If you're on Spy Cobra 4.85 CFW (standard CFW with Cobra payload integrated) and you've toggled on the QA flag, you can install whichever CFW you want - including Rebug 4.85 if/when it is released. You can also install a lower CFW version than 4.85.

Hi taafie. Usually Hen is just for later model consoles some cech25xx , 3xxx and super slims. If your console minimum firmware is 3.56 and below you can install cfw.
Thats what miniver.pup is for. :)
