I could never get into fallout. I've been trying to get into ni no kuni, but the battles seem slow and I hate the battle music. the game is gorgeous though. I was going to get pokemon next month, but if I don't really like the battles in ni no kuni, I don't know if I'll like pokemon.

I enjoy the side quests and just roaming around the wastelands looting stuff, watching the AI do funny things etc. I could never get into the story that much myself though, very cliche. The combat is pretty bad too honestly but not like Oblivion bad. Fallout can make a great sandbox for sure though!

I guess I have a hard time with non linear rpg type games. there's just so much you can do that it's overwhelming, which is why I could never get into the elder scrolls. I prefer Japanese rpgs for that reason. though, I hate the direction they're going without world maps. it just seems so boxed in.

@MrMario2011I just started dragon quest, the original. I'm really liking the game, but it's difficult to know where to go. I have an idea of where to go, but the enemies massacred me. I've since grinded to level 15, hoping to take them on now.

This reminds me when tried the first Final Fantasy (original nes version). There was no way to enter the first dungeon if you didn't farm for at least a couple hours in the world map, enemies ravage you instantly.

They should make a entire world seamlessly ( 1:1 scale like FFXV but with enough size to represent the earth). It is possible to do using a procedural engine for most of the world.
Similar process as the first 2 TES. With current tech you can do a very convincing world.

Hi guys.
I never played fallout either.
Same with ni no kuni.
I agree the graphics are great to look at but im not a rpg player for sure.
What about rage?
Played it a bit and looks pretty good!
Thing is , it seems that has that thing pinky mentioned you can go everywhere and do all these side quests and explore and i usually prefer games that are more story focused.

Ni No Kuni isn't bad, the story is great, although its a bit niche, to some audiences, currently also playing it, the 2nd one Revenant Kingdom, if you liked Dark Cloud back in the 2000s this has the same Dark Cloud vibes, as both are Titles from Level 5

ni no kuni is very nice looking, love the art style. I'm only in the first dungeon, that forest. I've heard that it's like pokemon, and ironically, being a nintendo fan as I am, I've never really played pokemon. the first one came out when I was in junior high or high school. my friends played it, but I never did.

Rage is quite linear instead, great fps.

Will give it another go when i get my ps3 and get it all sorted.
I'm deffo gonna go for bioshock trilogy first but its always good to know theres more games to play after. Makes it all more exciting somehow.
Im also planning mirrors edge ,wolfeinstein (not the order one) and maybe half life 2.
Yeah im in a fps mood ;)
And might play alien isolation again because i love alien . love the atmosphere and the thrill.
If you guys know any ps3 titles like god of war and dantes inferno lemme know. Love those.

Mirror's Edge and Wolfenstein are both decent games. Wolfenstein, like RTCW starts out fairly normal and ends up all crazy ridiculous by the end. Not a bad thing, but definitely a quirk of Wolfenstein games.

I have The New Order and The Old Blood in my Steam library, but I've no interest in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus or Youngblood whatsoever.

Played the new colossus it was good.
Some levels arent realistic such as Venus.
But it was entertaining nevertheless.
Old blood was good too.
Yeah RTCW was fun! So chances are that ill dig wolfeinstein!:D
Mirrors Edge still looks great to this day! :D

Last time I played Fallout 3 it was on a 360 and there was some glitch close to the end of the game that wouldn't let me continue. I was going to start it again but I bought a 3DS XL and now I'm hooked on Corpse Party and Kirby :D

not sure if I've really played kirby on the 3ds. I have the one for the switch. it's like 4-6 hours, very fun, but not worth $60. they have captain toad for $40, so it should've been that price or less. I don't really regret getting it, because it is addictive and charming, but I do feel a bit ripped off.

Yeah... $60 is way too much. I thought about getting a switch lite but I'm on the fence about it.

It can't be as bad as the GOTY edition for the PS3. Random freezes, bugs and glitches all over the place. Still, I played the hell out of it before getting it on PC.

Damn, that sucks! I might give it a go this weekend if I get a chance

if you like portable gaming, it might be worth it. however, I don't like having to contend with battery life. though, the controllers are like 40 hours on the normal switch. that's one thing I'll give to nintendo. they know how to make controllers. I think the battery life of my ps3 controller is only like 7 hours. I've read that the giant light on the front of it doesn't contribute much to the poor battery life, so maybe they just stuck in a weak battery. I don't own an xbox one, but the 360's AA batteries last a decent amount of time. oh, and speaking of Nintendo, I have one of their wave bird controllers for the gamecube. I left batteries in it for over two years, and those batteries still worked after all that time. the controller turned on.

I do love me some portable gaming :D

That's pretty awesome that those batteries lasted that long.

one of the things I like is that you can multitask while playing. with tv gaming, it's doable, but I feel like it requires more attention.

For sure. I'll be playing while I'm on conference calls and I like to play before I go to bed, so portable is nice. I could play my PS3 while doing those things but then that means I'll have to have the volume really low. On conference calls I'll have one earbud from my phone in one ear and the the other earbud coming from my Vita :D

The one thing that keeps me from getting a switch is how hardcore Nintendo's security is. I was reading up about it the other day and those fuses seem like a pain in the ass. I remember a while back I had a phone that used the same system. If you downgraded or installed a different ROM it would 86 the fuse and you'd be screwed. Not sure if the Switch lite is the same but the lack of CFW or homebrew is the real deal breaker for me.
