It is more difficult than MGS4 at extreme??

I'll put it this way... the AI is way more advanced in this game... say if your running around 500m+ away and there a sniper in the area.... he will see you... and they are deadly accurate with there shots... the more you progress in the game properly, ot spped runnin it but doing all the side quests etc, the higher the rank of soliders that are deployed in the area's, with better tatics, patrolling in groups covered by snipers and tanks, wearing full body armour, riot gear etc.... They can see you from 75m away in day light if your stood up, 35m crouched, at night the can wear IR or nightvision googles... if you play the game tactically and fully you will find it very imersive and in depth.

also if you don't upgrade your weapons they will be like pee shooters by the end of the game making it even more diffcult> you can make custom built weapons from different parts, add camo to them, custom sights etc.

I only saw the Digital Foundry technical review (part 1), they talk about it enthusiastically. I'm curious to try it (in a year or two when it will drop to the right price and will have all the patches. I do so with every game).
I was reading this one, is a bit negative
https://www.theverge.com/2019/11/1/20941606/death-stranding-review-ps4-hideo-kojima

I played lot of games from lot of genres, sometimes i even play some games just because are rare, i think in videogames like a piece of art, you should play like 90% games from the genre you like most... but from time to time is good if you get out of your confort zone and play something from other genres

In this case, death stranding is going to be a very artistical concept of what is a videogame, is nice to have some game companies doing things that goes out of the standards, and with kojima involved this is going to be a very shocking game, lol

But personally i would like to play it... i know the argument is going to be an avalanche of weird things that looks disconnected from the others and im not going to understand anything until the third playthrought... and yeah is going to be claustrofobic, frustrating, and disturbing in many ways, but is ok, there are some other games like this, most of the games from survival horror genre falls into this rules (silent hill: the room, the evil within, etc...), is needed to make an effort to continue playing because the experience you have while playing is not positive
But is like film genres... there are many film genres that are not intended to make any fun

MGS Chronological, Currently MGS HD/PW

Hitman Series, Currently Hitman: Contracts

FFVIII (Because I never beat it)

Borderlands in order because Borderlands 3 exists, Currently first one GOTY Edition

Putting finishing touches on NFS:MW Single Player 100%

Also always playing the entire Ridge Racer series :)

I've played a bit of final fantasy viii on the switch. I beat it as a kid, but now I find it a little difficult to get into. I'm at the last dungeon in final fantasy vii and the last boss in final fantasy ix. the last boss of ix keeps spamming status abnormalities and I end up dying.

I played some of new super mario. u deluxe earlier. right now, I'm trying to get the star coins in star road. in 9-3, it's very hard to get all of them, so I just got the first two and beat the stage. I hate that giant fish that follows you. 9-6 is also a pita with all those spinning things of fire. I only got one star coin there. since I know how long the stage is now, it shouldn't be as hard to get the other two.

i've been playing resident evil code veronica x,holy shit what a hard game,on the beggining you always keep thinking why everyone talks about the game being hard with you getting out of the prison area with almost 200 handgun bullets but by the half of the game things really get batshit insane, really needing to keep ammunition to a maximum and i nearly had to play the game from the beggining because i forgot to pass the grenade launcher to chris thinking that by the end of the game i would play as claire but by the time i reached it i was completly ammoless, thankfully i had a early save but hard as it is the game is a great resident evil title and aged very well.

I remember one of the resident evil games starting you out right next to a zombie without having time to react the first time. lol

ah resident evil 2,i still remember the first time i tried to play it,that zombie scared me shitless and resident evil 3 had a similar opening area filled with zombies

someone mentioned GTA 4 and mentioned the bluriness, thats not the biggest issue for me with that game, i love the driving physics the ragdolls, i dont mind the bluriness or the framerate drops so much but the color palette if thats how its called. at times on the ps3 its literally just shades of orange. the 360 and pc versions from what ive seen arent that orange but the ps3 its just fucking orange everywhere you look

Also I played GT4 on that same system but my VMC in OPL got corrupted and I lost my 76% complete GT4 save, NOT fun at all. Probably like ~350 hours lost in seconds. Now when playing GT6, im thinking that I should backup my save to PC or USB every now and then just to be on the safe side.

How did the VMC get corrupted and from what device was you playing?? I remember GT4 had VMC problems from ETH with some OPL versions (it should work fine with newer versions).

USB - External HDD. It just got corrupted when running CHKDSK. Altho now things are fine as I found a backup of my save at ~65% I think about 6 months ago

I'm not sure what to make of it but its interesting. TBH I don't trust critics. They are not normal users. They often have biased opinions.

Look at this for an example, critics gave this comedy special 0%, users 99%...

I'm looking forward to it, it might be a slow burner that needs the online community to build up a bit before everything works properly.

I've been playing Prince of Persia 2008 the past few nights. Never played any of the games in the series before, not too in to the story or dialogue honestly but the gameplay is solid. Kinda reminds me of Darksiders, or maybe it's that Darksiders reminded me of PoP though I didn't play it yet dunno. :indecisiveness:

Well, that kind of reviews are mostly for the mass of players, personally i dont care much about critics, specially with this game, there is going to be lot of people that hates it, and others that are going to adore it (just because is kojima)
Personally i like it because is a very special game

Not playing the prince of persia games is a blasphemy :P
But i think you did choose the worst one, in PS3 "the sands of time" is a lot better, and there are 2 in PS2 that was very good (dont remember the names though), and you are right, they have a very solid gameplay, is "enviromental puzzle + a few of fighting"

*Special mention to Tomb Raider: Anniversary (i loved this game)
@ISAK.M , I reported this thread, asking them to merge both threads.
Done :)

Yeah, even if it is not for everyone game developers should be encouraged to take risks, and maybe this will not be great and have issues. But maybe it will spawn a great sequel, or some other game. I'm looking forward to it. Just 11 hours now. :)

I can't even use the theme yet..wtf. When I try to apply it it says the theme is "playable" in 11 hours..
