Actually [MENTION=3657]pinky[/MENTION] [MENTION=6]bitsbubba[/MENTION] [MENTION=872]sandungas[/MENTION]....very helpful, friendly...lots of nice people here, and there seems to be quite a few other BIG NAME devs from the cfw scene here! I've been here before just in and out, but didn't bother to take the time to see what was REALLY here, damn i've missed out! but im gonna make it up ! ok back to work...got lots to work on to contribute!

I can change the waves no problem...and the colors in the themes that you can choose ...the rgb-xx.dds no problem...I did change all 12 of the night-xx.dds to same exact background , so I was editing the rainbow waves made by (b0rekid) after doing the 12 night-xx.dds to my background ....and changing the waves to my color, the wave colors are i want are always there no problem, but at boot up (during coldboot) his backrground colors still show and then they turn to my colors once it goes to the xmb screen. during boot the waves are the color I want so thats good

then lets say I go to the theme colors, the ones I made are there and you can pick them no problem.... but when you select original as the color, it goes back to his background colors (the one during coldboot) . You can still pick my colors in theme colors so thats cool, but the only way my custom background colors for the "original" background "stick" would be to reboot the ps3 then after the cold boot it goes to my color. however should you choose another color and then go back to original , my colors are gone and go back to his

any ideas? I believe there probably is something I have to change in the "wave settings" with notepad++ to make the background stick with "original" and at boot up during cold boot

Seems fine to me, actually jumping back and forth from PC to phone (tapatalk) back to PC

 

thats weird everytime I opened up this specific thread which I have tabbed in my bookmark bar, it would stay opened for 3 or 4 seconds , then it would say "redirecting" in the search bar of chrome, and first it took me to Xhamster, I closed it, then on reopening did the same thing , except now it went to something about cellphones, I repeated it a few times and each time the redirect was to a different site, selling medicine , or insurance...etc

I opened up a bunch of other stuff in different tabs on my chrome everything was fine, just this site hmmmm

did u try changing the rgb colors as well? u want all black, correct? I just checked chrome and this thread. it worked fine for me. see if firefox gives u that issue.

since he's encountering that issue here, in this thread, maybe he got a bug from "Pinky does PSX Place." I knew I shouldn't have pressed those on black market discs. :p

 

im SHOCKED you guys even know about that site!! :embarrassed: :p all I know is i've spent the last 5hrs there doing some hard investigative work behind the hijack ...wait...not hard, bad choice of words, some deep investigative work....wait...actually i wasn't there long .....just in and out!

ok so here we go, this will be finished by tomorrow , I will add different color sceme to all theme choices right now there's 4, the original and most others which are black, but mainly I made the wave this color to go with the white choice! the next one down is slight darker and the first purple has something different in it. let me know what you think. I may do it for the white. Sparkle color has been changed

and the transparent cobra through the glass thing works best with this setup. so its black to start off that way the transparency works better (but I still like the non-xparent one better).... plus I can't seem to change the "original" background theme for nothing ...I spent hours trying lol

so I will repost the complete finished product later or tomorrow . now if I can change my fonts to black with this set up and the white theme choice...that would be FIRE!!

the non Xparent version of this boot was posted a couple of pages ago in case you want to compare...thanks guys for all your help, and [MENTION=3657]pinky[/MENTION] for creating the wave ...I just did some decor! but his help was monumental!

 

I'll be sure to check our ur wave. of, about the glass coldboot, I believe u can create one that looks like ice or has a shadow using some lighting effects. I've yet to try it, but it should be possible.

 

finally finished and did some tweeking and its better ... I didn't do 2 colors from the theme choices but its ok lol

yeah I actually did your wave in that same color blue pretty much, just like the lightning...it looks great! and if the image could appear behind the waves ...forget about it!

so here is a brand new one using the REbug Cobra CFW image that [MENTION=6]bitsbubba[/MENTION] posted a few days ago. I gotta do something else with it!

This one took the longest although looking at it you wouldn't think it did. But photoshop's learning curve is steep! this is best viewed if you FIRST have the Blue Green Smoke (psxpwn) waves installed or the Electric Blue Purple (b0rekid) one

I was thinking off adding like a tech looking grid thing in the black color field because I think its missing something. the lines would be faint and wouldn't "light up" . I made it all black so it would add to the effect that comes through, but i'll tweek it some more. And this coldboot opened up a floodgate of ideas! even one with NYAN Cat!.. a full screen where the only opening would be behind his ass so the wave looks like its coming out of it! yeah I got some ideas lol

u can place the coldboot image as the background of the wave. just remember that u need to turn it upside down. if ur wanting the coldboot to be in back of the wave, I'm not really sure how u'd do that. with colored coldboots, the system will display whatever's in the alpha, so u could have an image with all kinds of things in it, but what'll show is only what's within the alpha of the image. with that in mind, u can create wave/coldboot hybrids by creating image with pieces missing (non-alpha). the non-alpha portions is where the wave will be visible. that's how I created the dark side of the moon wave/prism coldboot hybrid. u've pretty much done that with ur image as well.

smallest coldboot I've ever made or even seen at 12KB. I need to charge my camera to get the photo again. my phone only has concert photos.

I no longer have it on my laptop. I got sidetracked a bit anyway. I took a few photos of the blood moon. I zoomed in all the way with my phone, so the contrast is kinda messed up.

 

btw, considering the demise of Konami, Dracula's castle is supposed to appear during an eclipse. :p
