PS3 HAN Toolbox v0.4 Released - The Unofficial Companion for PS3Xploit HAN

HAN Toolbox (The Unofficial Companion for PS3Xploit HAN) has been updated to version 0.4 by project creator's @DeViL303 and @pink1 who also recently updated PKG Linker to version 2.0, which is another great release by the two XMB Modding devs. In this update to the Toolbox support for the recent Ps3Xploit Tool releases are now easily available from withing the XMB Mod. No better way to explain this mod then to see it in action and thanks to the video the devs prepared you can see all the new changes and extra details by watching and seeing for yourself.

HAN Toolbox v0.4

  • HAN Toolbox v0.4
    Here is update 4 for the HAN Toolbox, v0.4 by @pink1 and @DeViL303, this has the new File Injector hacks from PS3Xploit Team added , Also Demo Downloader item and Local Xploits (PKG Linker 2.0 Required for the local xploits)​

    Demo Downloader requires 2 extra setup steps, see the video, its just a package download and an RCO injection. The RCO is built into the pkg, so no extra files needed​

    Demo Downloader Setup Instructions:
    • STEP 1 = Icons: Go to Toolbox Settings > Setup / Update Demo List > Click "Step 1"
    • STEP 2 = Titles: Go to Toolbox Settings > Setup / Update Demo List > Click "Step 2"
      • Pick explore_plugin_full.rco from the file list.
      • Pick the HANTOOLBX/files path, NOT usb000 (the file is included in HAN Toolbox folder after doing step 1)
      • Your console should reboot automatically, if it doesn't try step 2 again.

You can play NES games with imbNES for PSX. Convert the ISO generated with rombank.exe to PSX Classics.

Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World rom for SNES has all mario games in a single rom. It can be played with SNES Station for PS2.

As curiosity Super Mario Bros can be played even on Genesis emulators with the following PD rom: ;)

A rap file is an encrypted "rifkey". A rifkey is the key used internally by PS3 processes to decrypt DRM content to make them playable.

The PS3 does not use .rap files directly. It uses .rif files that are generated from your idps, act.dat and the encrypted rifkey (rap). The act.dat is generated in the folder /dev_hdd0/home/0000000x/exdata when you activate your "throw away" PSN account and download the first demo from the store.

Use ps3xploit resigner to convert your rap files to rif files and generate the signed PKG that install them.

Use ACT / IDPS dumper to get the required files to sign the rap.

To install the signed PKG, copy it to the root of the USB, attach it to the PS3, enable HAN and use Install Package Files from XMB.

Just wanted to say I love HAN Toolbox. Enabling HAN via HAN Toolbox seems to have a much higher success rate than going to the web browser in XMB. Glad to see the new features implemented too!

Updating didn't work via the HAN Toolbox updater for whatever reason, but not a big deal. I'll just update the old fashioned way. ;)

Good evening everyone since the release of HAN Toolbox v3 and 4 I can not access. I reinstalled at least 4x the HAN Uninstall, Reinstall HAN Toolbox 3/4 I reinstalled my firmware BUT NOTHING, I can only put the v2 no more. Really there I try everything I hope I find the solution but I try everything. What do you have to offer me? Thank you

No. Each game (and each DLC) has a different Content-ID. Each rif unlocks a specific content-id.

However, there are rare cases where the same rifkey value is used for various DLC of the same game or different games of the same publisher. Each one still need a separate rif file.

Verify your ps3 network settings and that it has access to Internet. Also that you have access to the ps3xploit website.

You need to download fresh support files.

With Han toolbox 0.2, "exit from game" icon showed immediately and i can quick exit from game. But with
Han toolbox 0.4, i see loading sign and only after few minutes "exit from game" icon showed. I think, it's because in Han toolbox 0.4 are much more icons and menus than in Han toolbox 0.2. So, it's possible add, in Han toolbox settings some On/Off buttons, then i can turn off unnecessary menus from Han toolbox?

Not possible sorry.

Anyway, your issue is with the category_game.xml in the HAN support files, nothing to do with HAN Toolbox. The XMB can handle thousands of items.
