Hi @ All.

First off: Another Mod regarding a LED Cooling Solution is not finished yet. I am working on it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I have spended much time in the preparation and on the theoretical design concept.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

The benefits of this Mod: I want to list only two of these (there are many more):

- Dual-Boot:
• The ugly E3-Flasher-Sata-Station is no more required.

- Frontcover-Board-Configs:
• To pull out the power cable for special functions is no more required.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Needed things:

- PS3 Slim 2K:
• CECH-2504
• Date-Code: 0C
• Motherboard: JSD-001

- E3-Flasher:
• with Frontcover-Board
• with E3-Linker

- Good soldering station:
• fine soldering iron tip
• soldering grease / soldering flux
• desoldering braid & desoldering pump
• magnifying glass
• desk lamp
• rubbing alcohol

- 25 meters KYNAR wire AWG-30:
• conductor diameter: Ø0,25mm
• conductor material: copper (silver-plated)
• color: white
• heat shrink tubing: Ø1,5mm

- About 25-centimeter-long special flat ribbon cable (E-Bay):
• male & female connectors included
• conductor size (I can not find it anymore at E-Bay)

- Pressure switch (button):
• 1,5 ampere

- Thermal paste for the CPU & GPU (E-Bay):
• Arctic Silver 5 (3,5 grams)

- Dremel (multi-function rotary tool):
• with thin cutting wheel for stainless steel
• accessories for plastic processing

- Miscellaneous additional tools:
• multimeter with continuity test
• caliper
• screwdriver set
• T8 Security Torx (included with E3-Flasher Limited Edition)
• flat fine file
• needle nose pliers
• tweezers
• insulating material for the E3-Flasher
• insulating tape (white)
• adhesive tape
• ...

@WTF-IGO , where did you source the cable that goes from the flasher to the cover? It looks similiar to an ide cable. I haven't gotten this far yet. I was just going to remove the legs from the board and attach wires there. So as long as e3 isn't taking up the hard drive bay on ps3, hard drive can be put back and still achieve dual boot without sata station?

Just curious about the esata station because I bought one to use for the flasher, but I won't be putting the flasher in the hard drive bay sorta like you did and what mikka did also. If dual boot can be achieved by on board e3 nor and internal hard drive it's not necessary for me to keep those purchases and return them. Allowing me to put those funds elsewhere. Thanks, any one can add input here

If u wont be using the hardrive bay then i see no reason for esata as u can manually swith hdd in the bay like OP the esata can only work with flasher when E3 main bourd is connected to mobo but if ur not doing that and you can manually put in/take out hdd then return the esata @nCadeRegal

Thanks, I'm learning as I go here, and trying to document it over in my thread. Tring to make a good tut for e3 for the forums. Can't upload a lot of the pics though bc the res is to high and is past the sites limit.

It is written above.

AFAIR on E-Bay. I think, it was 2,54mm 1P.

Mayby this could help:

Thanks, I am going to see if I can source something similiar at a computer store around here. Just needed an idea of what I am actually looking for. Although micro center has a decent selection, they can be a bit expensive. Now that I am returning my esata station, I have some extra funds to play around with.

@WTF-IGO. I have a couple of questions regarding the ground points on both the e3 linker and the ver-001 board. I noticed on your setup you have bridged most of the grounds on your linker together, is that necessary? I noticed there are quite a few ground points on my mother board and yours as well. I have a cech l01, you have slim, ver-001 to jsd-001. My question concerning them is do I need to have every point grounded on the board? Shouldn't they be already? Am I just using one of those points to ground the linker or several? I can't find any clear answers to this. There are many pics of where to solder to but no real guides saying how they went about it. Thanks. @baileyscream @playerkp420

I'm having a go at 2 of my cech L01 consoles today. If it works out I'll be doing many more. I've been stockpiling slim and phat nor consoles. I got all kind of goodies to show when I'm done with my white one, a lot of the pics won't upload and need resizing.

All gnd points are linked together
That's on the ps3 board and on the e3 linker board
You only need one of the gnd points on the linker to one of the gnd points on the ps3 board
