PS VITA / PS TV Pinky's PS Vita Tutorials

I never really tested until lately, well heavily anyhow. PS3 apps/games only supported so no PS1 or PS2 even with full hardware BC or PSP but why one would want to do that outside of the PS3's upscaling for PSP games is vastly superior over the Vita/PSTV
 
I haven't even tried ps4 remote play since both systems r in the same room. :p it's sad that the pstv had so much potential...to be squandered away by sony. I think it was discontinued after only one year in the US.

if u need me to host the csv files for remote play, let me know. that's y I haven't written that tutorial. the csv isn't actually necessary, but it has the coding needed instead of playing the record for each like the whitelist v2. heh...
 
Hi, first of all, thanks for your tutorials, but i've a question, there are already posibility of playing backups on psvita? like the 3ds?

you're supposed to be able to with the cobra black fin. it's a p2p sharing method. the device reads the license files from a cartridge and sends them over a network to be verified by ur system.

So, we have to bougth cobra black fin to play backup games on vita? Its something like sky/gateway system on 3ds?
 
my understanding (don't own one) is that the black fin, which is actually shaped like a dorsal fin, plugs into ur computer/laptop. u plug a cartridge into it, so that others can verify their backups with the licenses that r on the cartridge. the licenses r able to be dumped, but the system requires verification from the cartridge itself. the verification is then sent to a cartridge that's inside the vita via bluetooth. I'm not sure if the backup is on the cartridge via a microsd or if they're on the memory card. that's my understanding of how the device works. it's not like the gateway/sky 3ds since u need a computer to send the licenses to the system. also, I've heard it doesn't work with the pstv.

no. the update is stored into memory until u restart the system. just make sure u follow the steps in the precise order or u'll get that update nag.
 
I do suggest updating to 3.18 or even 3.36 though all depending on what you want hacked on the Vita. If you don't care for PS1 to go 3.36 if you want PS1 then go to 3.18 as it will enable more Vita games to be played and premade hack packs are plentiful for 3.18/3.36 as most guides and so forth revolve around those two firmwares.
 
yes, I believe @atreyu187 has a tutorial on updating manually to the firmware u want. if u want ps one games with tnx and pkg installer, install 3.18. I have a vita on 3.50 mostly due to downloading and installing borderlands 2 (bought the borderlands 2 bundle), but it's good in that I can play most games without updating. my pstv, however, is on 3.20 which is the equivalent of 3.18 for the vita with added support for the pstv.

Has anyone got a link to 3.18 please. Also I had it CMA working on 3.00 but can't get it to work at all formatting/reformatting it's not working always now asks for a update even with update blocker and qmca .when I click system update it says on latest firmware but CMA says need updating. Seems to be stuck.

u could try open cma to see if that works for u. r u connecting via wifi or usb? some people, who get the update nag, use airplane mode and a usb connection.
