@Joonie , I just tested mocha cfw. the config menu didn't appear. I'm pretty sure it did when I first tried it out. I didn't realize a config file is made outside of the elf file, so maybe that's y it still appeared for u? here's mine:

Wth.. I never got those config.ini file lol

maybe something wrong with my sdcard?

I don't know, my friend. the sd card isn't locked into the write lock position, is it? my guess is probably not, but something weird is definitely going on with that cfw and ur sd card. if it is a bug, u should try my version or hex compare the two to see if they're the same. or, u could just use my ini file to bypass the config window. that's what I would try. see if the window is bypassed, then try holding I think it's "B" to get back into the config window, then try saving the settings to make the config menu not pop up again. then, test if it's bypassed again. my guess is that the ini takes precedent over the configuration in the elf file. that would explain y it wouldn't work correctly for u after compiling it to bypass the config screen/window.

I was able to skip the menu, the screen was shown after I forced pulling menu on launch, the issue is ini creation which works fine on yours but not mine

u should test my ini file to see if changes u make in the config menu r written to it, like maybe try redNAND since I have that disabled. I'm still using the fw.img method of launch redNAND.

Yes, I only tested your ini file only because elf was just the same as the official 0.2 which I tested,

Anyways, your ini worked and also made some changes afterwards, and the configuration saving now seems working fine.

So whatever change I make now gets applied fine!

I'm glad it's working for u now. :) I'm not sure how ur loading mocha, but maybe that has to do with y ur not getting an .ini file. I can't recall if I loaded mocha with a button press and haxchi or if I went through the homebrew launcher first. I have mocha assigned to a button, but I also have the homebrew launcher assigned to another button. I'm not sure which method I used to load mocha for the first time. that could be what's causing the bug?

I just automated the process with haxchi 2.5u2, so the coldboot will be no hax-state, and run the Haxchi to auto-load mocha (as a default homebrew) which should create the ini on launch regardless.

I'm not using CBHC 1.6 yet neither fw.img

my haxchi setup was done through the wup server. I have the config file on my laptop to see what each button does. I changed the tga for the tv and gamepad, and it displays what three buttons do. I took the image from temp. I'm thinking about buying brain age soon before zelda is released and a possible update just so I can get yoshi's island back which is what I'm using for haxchi.

my default haxchi is redNAND with the fw.img. I don't think the fw.img is required for redNAND in mocha though. I need to check that out. I've been playing it safe with my wii u since I own 75 digital games on the system. that's y I won't be installing cbhc. I don't want to risk a brick if something were to happen to my haxchi game. it only takes a few seconds more to click on the haxchi tile, so it's not a big deal to wait a little longer. redNAND iosuhax takes a few seconds longer than loading mocha too, so I might just stick with iosuhax and redNAND. most of the high profile games I own on sysNAND anyway.

Yeah the reason why I'm not using CBHC 1.6 is also the same as yours, I don't like any solution that can cause brick on my WiiU at the moment.

I don't know why, I just don't like redNAND on WiiU that much, maybe because of that stupid memory requirement.. or just slowness.. or maybe I don't like extra couple-seconds for loading delay? lol

Or, maybe I just got burned out on 3DS's redNAND

one of my friends installed cbhc, but he doesn't have as much money invested in the system itself. since digital games r tied to the system, it would be awful if I bricked at some point. I'd probably install it otherwise. with the ps3, as u know, u have a safety net with safe mode. u have safe mode with the 3ds as well as long as ur NAND isn't majorly corrupted, but it forces u to install the latest firmware which has patched a lot of things for now.

I don't mind the redNAND delay that much. I think it might be too much hassle to reinstall all games on sysNAND. one downside about redNAND on the wii u is that the virtual console doesn't work. u'll get a "the system files r corrupted" error if u try to enter it. u can still access the partition with ftpii everywhere though. that's where I took my system menu .app since I had forgotten to get it in sysNAND before installing a theme. it works too as I sent a copy to someone on temp when he bricked his virtual wii while installing a theme.

You know what? I didn't even need mocha.. LOL

I removed the mocha setup, and currently only using haxchi 2.5u2 + default setting =sysnand

Hella fast, and does what I need [region free+sigcheck patch]

thanks. @Joonie , I just bought Brain Age. I seemed to have had it already from utikdownloadhelper since the system downloaded nothing. I guess it assumes it's working correctly unless u actually delete the game. it's a good thing I checked too.. :-/ I deleted it, then redownloaded it from the eshop. I'm going to keep yoshi's island as my haxchi for now until I do brain age. then, delete and redownload the game. I can do brain age through yoshi's island, I think that would be easier. I'm going to go the easy route this time instead of using wup server. I'm going to install haxchi 2.x. :) does the app ask if u have any tga image files and/or a config.txt file?

If you already have a working DS game for haxchi, I don't think you need another for new haxchi,

I've have been using my kirby game ever since the 1.0, although I never did it with the old method with wupserver.

Haxchi 2.5u2 is beast, simple, easy and has everything I need (iosuhax + sigcheck + regionfree)

it's not so much needing a new game for haxchi. I planned to turn my yoshi's island ds game back into a game since I was at the final stage in it. it just happened to be one of the only ds games I owned. I bought brain age, because that game will never be played. it seemed like a better candidate for haxchi considering.

I have iosuhax + sig patch assigned to a button with my current haxchi setup. I'd have to look up which button that is since I rarely use it. it's always been redNAND for me. ur right...it is hella fast! the old method isn't too hard. I wrote all of the needed commands earlier in this thread. I wrote them using yoshi's island as a base mostly in case I needed to remember. there's no need to remember the title ids anymore though, so fix94 removed them from his github. u can actually use wup server in redNAND as well, but I'm not sure if only usb is combined for both and if mlc is for redNAND or sysNAND, can't recall.

my yoshi's island game is on the usb drive. do u know if a game has to be on mlc to install haxchi 2.5? I'm not sure how the program recognizes the game for haxchi. do u have to tell it which game ur using or does it scan for it? I know u need the game on mlc for coldboot haxchi. it can be moved on the home menu, but u can't move it to the usb device or u'll brick. I believe that's still true.

From my understanding, haxchi installer scans the DS VC titles for swapping files for hax, not so sure about Games on USB, I have it on my NAND.

yeah, it's probably noob proof. I know the vc uses a rom inside of a zip file called rom.zip for the vc emulators. at least, that's what it's called with ds vc games. u'd have to overwrite the original rom with the rom.zip when u'd use wup. I'm thinking each game had its own haxchi rom.zip, but that may have changed to a universal one to make it even easier for apps like haxchi 2.5. I think u can include a config.txt or tga files to overwrite the game's. and, I think u can just run the app again to change them. I believe I read that on temp somewhere. how did u install the config file so that it launched ioshax sign patcher? that's y I'm thinking it works in that way.

I just put modified config and tga on the haxchi folder on the root of USB and let the haxchi.elf inject those via GUI

so it was as I recall reading. :-P that shouldn't be too bad. I still have the config file on my laptop. the image files - I'm going to have to get those from my usb. do u know if ftpii everywhere can read the usb or just the NAND partitions? I've only used it once for extracting the wii's theme software.
