PS3 webMAN MOD v1.47.01 - NEW Stable version with latest inclusions from Aldostools

After some testing builds where issues were introduced in the latest updates of webMAN MOD there has been some significant progress that has produced a new Stable release (v1.47.01) after some exciting new inclusions are added to the popular ps3 plugin that takes deank's webMAN (vanilla) plugin and adds a variety of additional features and functions. In some of the latest updates Aldostools has tinkered with deank's slaunch (since evolved into sMAN) and has some modifications that differs from the approach in deank's sMAN, There has been alot of development of this plugin lately by developer aldostools and some regressions did arise while implementing some of these latest additions, but all has fixed., The developer recommends anyone that was using the various v1.46.xx - v1.47.00 builds/commits to update to v1.47.01 which is consider a much more STABLE build.

Thanx @aldostools now look great, really gooood work. Can I do the translation string in xmb on the polish language that has not been translated? And would you be able to implement this in webman mod?
I suggest that you use github to request your proposed changes if you can, Aldo would consider those & add it officially if appropriate...
There are 2 language files for Polish that you may want to look at: LANG_PL.TXT & webMAN_PL.xml
You can find them in github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/_Projects/updater/pkgfiles/USRDIR
If ever github is too complicated for you then I suppose you can also post the changes for Aldo.

Hey all.

So I have a weird problem using WMM... and probably you ppl can help.
The thing is that it only works for the first game it loads... if i try to load another game it just doesn't work.... I have to reboot my ps3 and it will work again one more time... I think that this is not the intended behavior...
The setup consists of a slim ps3 loading games in iso format from network... rebug 4.81.02 latest WMM.
Before I had a fat ps3 and it worked just fine... but with an old version... now I'm on the latest...
Could someone please give a hint if I'm doing something wrong? It's not that it doesn't work but it's a pain in the but always rebooting the damn thing...

Thanks.

No, of course, it's not normal behaviour.
But we would need more details from you, you are using ps3netsrv? On PC or other device? Windows/Linux? What ps3netsrv version?
What wMM version are you using to mount your games? By latest you mean 1.47.03?
Are you using anything else that might affect mounting games like triggering psnpatch or whatever?
Have you tried to mount them with multiman instead to see if you have the same issue?

Did you try with the current build available on github?
https://github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/releases/latest

Last night I fixed the issue that caused the games don't load when sLaunch MOD or VSH Menu was loaded.

It was caused by a peek to LV1 that was breaking Cobra and preventing the access to ntfs.
I tried.
Solved my problem. Thank you so much. Everyday its getting better. I can't believe a outdate console receive so much attention from you guys.

Now i need to solve my covers inssue. But i think i solved. NTFS + Covers it's not working very well for me. So I'm testing FAT32 with slit iso!

Check your settings in the wMM setup page to authorise access to ftp.
The Disable Remote Access option should be unchecked.

Nice work. This stuff must drive you nuts chasing down these quirky bugs.
I'll give it another crack myself tomorrow before I format my external back to fat32.

Did you work out why it took me 6-7 runs to get prepntfs to pick up all the jpg PS3 covers last time I tried?

I noticed when I tried multiman earlier after deleting wmtmp it misses a few icon0.png files even, so might be an old bug or something to do with the fact I have too many games?

Sman picks up every cover on the ntfs drive first go every time though... :/

Everything's pretty basically named, and all made using genps3iso 2.0

Delete wmtmp, run multiman:

Excuse crappy iPad pics. CRTs are hard to get a pic of at the best of times.... let alone using this junk.
Does Street F x Tekken works well as iso?

I remember your post about this ages ago... I never found anyone again complaining about the issue you had though.. Not sure if someone else does? @Joonie?
If I am not mistaken however you were using a (downloaded??) release in which param.sfo had been modified... Despite the ird check your eboot.bin might have been patched as well for all you know. You cannot rely on your findings if you don't use original files to begin with...

I don't like this kind of games myself so I never play with them however iirc I have this title in my games collection & I am pretty sure I used it for testing a few months ago. I do not remember having any problems with it...
If I have some time, I will double check later on..

I confirm, it's impossible to uncheck "Disable remote access to FTP/WWW services", everytime you try to uncheck it and save it goes immediately back on

That's where the problem comes from...
Am not sure because I have not looked at the source just yet but it could be due to a regression in the code given the recent changes made to setup.h, which contains the code for running the wMM setup page.
@aldostools will look into it soon I am sure... [emoji6]

What is the difference between Cobra, full, lite, and non-Cobra editions?

Cobra edition is the standard edition (supports ntfs access, rawiso, netiso, JB games, iso)
Full same as Cobra edition + extra features (ps3netsrv on PS3, LaunchPad, calc MD5, etc.)
Lite has the minimal features required to play games (netiso & direct ntfs access aren't supported; ntfs isos are supported through prepNTFS app)
non-Cobra edition only supports JB folders, uses mM payload & should be loaded with PRX Loader

For more details check the flags files found in the SRC of the project.

Thank you for your feedback... the bug is fixed in the current build.
https://github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/releases/latest

BTW in the latest build it is recommended to remove VSH Menu & sLaunch MOD from /boot_plugins.txt to gain up to 800KB of free memory ;)
These plugins now are loaded/unloaded dynamically, so they only use memory when they are accessed through the combo button.

This is amazing, there are daily updates !!!

I am trying this release and I think I found a bug, when you open the slaunch or vsh menu you can not open them for the second time, they only open once per reboot.

So an update, i was using a very old version of netserv, compiled the latest from git, I'm running it on a linux machine, also updated to the latest WMM .
The behavior stays the same, but now it gives an error saying that "CFW syscalls have been disabled", or something like this, and this only happens the second time i try to mount a game... the first time everything goes fine.
