PS3 What can I do if my PS3 is on OFW 4.83

That much is easy to tell. :) (he is just all over, more then likely as he does not quite understand everything (which is okay) but hard to help, without more help from the user :) )

Do you have PSN Patch installed?

What i would do: Restart your PS3, then go into PSN Patch (don't hold any buttons as you would to disable syscals and stuff just let it launch)
Once in PSN Patch press 'L2' to patch games to '4.20', then on the next menu press 'LEFT' on the d-pad and a * should appear next to 'Backups in Internal HDD' then press 'Triangle' and a * should appear next to 'Deep Search'. the press 'START' to apply the patches and the PS3 will reboot. Then try again to load the game. if it still doesn't work then we will have to do the double patch methord.

Just to be clear for anyone : One should mount the game first then disable cfw syscalls.

multiMAN should patch any games to 4.20+ as well (should detect if its needs it when mounted (one-time process)

Doesn't always work with multiman, especially on COD games, thats why am telling him to do it this way as you can physically see if the process has worked, don't know why so I manually do it with PSN patch on all my games to be sure, then it need not be done again. Modern Warfare 3 is the worst for black-screen on multiman once the syscals have been disabled. that needs to use double patch method. Backup the game and install the dlc if you have any then patch it. then install the update then patch the update. its a real pain the backside of a game lol.

It's something to do with the HDD, versions in mmMc not disc. When I pot it in because I can't load it though mmMc it says that message games that are just disc not coped to HDD. I don't have this problem I'm digging in deep for a fix anyone know the fix ?

re copy your games from disc to hdd

Moedern Warfare 3 i believe is okay when converted to an ISO.

cod would not show up in multiMAN as those are PSN games,

Where does it say this in multiman?

If your trying to update Black Ops 2 through MultiMAN it wont work as the update isn't on the site it uses for updates. A lot of games cannot be updated this way.

To copy the game agian. Go into MultiMAN and and delete the backup you already have by pressing 'Square' on it then select 'delete'.

Once deleted insert the disc in to the PS3 and then wait for it to appear at the top of the 'Games' column in MultiMAN. Then press 'SQUARE' then select 'Copy' then select 'PS3 HDD (/dev_hdd0)'.

While it is coping you can download the latest update (v1.19) from the link above ready to install with Package Manager on the XMB
 
@Xx_Tawwqeerr_xX you are being vague about your problem, after reading all those posts. But, you don't need to patch the game so it will work. You only need to patch if you are on a lower firmware version, at least, was what i always did (it's been a long time since i don't patch for lower firmwares, because never needed since the 3.55 days or back in late 2012 early 2013, unless a particular game had some issues and you had to patched it).

1 - Where do you see 4.20 fw version? On multiman system inform.?
2 - When that started to happen (your issue)?
3 - You always played that game without any issues or this the first time you are playing it and you can't?

That's a simple fix and you might be looking to the wrong stuff. I've tried that game from disc and from backup without issues on CEX or DEX fws (if the update fails to download (for any game) when i boot that game i use aldos PS3 GAME UPDATES tool and "manually" install it).
If it isn't working from disk, copy it to internal (already posted). If you can't copy it you might be on a old version of multiman (it will work with that cfw but some functions won't). Go to brewology and get multiman 4.82 (and/or IRISMAN 4.82) and try with it and see if something works. That might be easier than you think, imo.

I was on about the COD Series for PS3 from (in release order) Modern Warefare to Black Ops 3 which is the last one for PS3. Don't have COD3. Any thing to do with world war, other than COD World at War, I prefer Medal of Honour for the PS2 and 1.

Don't like my games in ISO format as you can't do anything with them once converted. As I was a Games Developer and Graphics Design Artist I like to mess about with games then test them, especially the graphics.

Someone needs to change to title to 'confused.com' because its went from not knowing if you can get of 4.83OFW to not knowing if there on CFW to not knowing the difference between HAN and CFW to actually being on CFW and having trouble playing BO2 (Black screen when disabling the syscals because its not patched to 4.20) to helping them backup the game up when a uploaded pic already shows it in MultiMAN as a backup?????????????????? and various other things, helped as much as possible but I was starting to think they either don't understand what people were to tell them or they were Trolling the thread :D

Yea but it WAS 4.82 and for some reason went to 4.83 and I SWEAR I did not press update for anything...
