PS3 XMBPD v 0.70 (by DeViL303) - New NoPSN pkgs / Manager / Utilties & more added in this update

@DeViL303 has a new update with some new additions to the Homebrew Store that conveniently invades your XMB. XMBPD or (XMB Package Downloader) now has been updated to version 0.70 and this update adds some new things such as over 60 No-PSN pkgs from esc0rtd3w,who has been on a tear lately with his noPSN findings and research, plus this update adds some updated managers and utilities & also a new XMBPD Rebugification skin from Berion can be seen in v0.70. See full notes in the logs provided plus a video that gives a great video guide of installing XMBPD and adding some extra's. The video is nearly 20 minutes so DeViL303 has covered alot of aspects of the XMB MOD.

  *** I only test my mods on the latest Rebug, but this should work fine on most CFW. Edit:
  Causes soft brick on Starbucks, maybe others, so this is now for Rebug only. Will work on

@bitsbubba @aldostools Yeah, I had left it go, as I was bored with it, and was not planning on renewing server, but then i did , cost me €380 for 1 year though , i asked a friend to set it up, and he had already paid it so there was nothing i could do. Dont think i will be renewing it again next year.

BTW: There is the option of using PKG Linker to completely rewrite XMBPD using the net_package_install method, it would be easy enough to do, with the app doing most of the hard work like grabbing and resizing icons etc, then a bit of find and replace here and there to build all the separate xmls into one.

There would be pros and cons.

Downsides:

• No background download
• Would not be able to display developer info on the xmb as there is no info string

Upsides:

• No other plugin like webman mod required, so would work on all cfw with just an xml mod and the icons.
• 100% stable
• Maybe no background download not such an issue with XMBPD as most of it is real small packages under 50MB
• PKG linker could do most the work

No only for CFW. You do have demo downloader which is about as close as you are going to get on HAN I think

€380 for a year is ultra expensive!! Host Monster is only US$84 the first year and $180/yr the next years for the PRIME plan.I am very pleased with their service... GoDaddy has cheaper plans but I don't like them

The background download is not big deal if the file can be downloaded in 2 minutes or less...
For more than 2 minutes, the background download is almost a must Anyways the upsides are more...IMHO your idea is not bad.
