Following the release of 4.84.1 REX a new update has been made by Team Rebug with the release of 4.82.4 REBUG REX (& D-REX) with the inclusion of COBRA v8.1 that we seen debut in @Joonie's latest PASTA (DEX) COBRA CFW. This update also corrects a long-standing bug (7 years) that resided in Rebug when trying to install in some region via Recovery Mode. Also PS3Xploit Support has been added (mostly for developer use), these features in REBUG REX and various fixes/changes can be seen below. Along with an overview of features REBUG REX can offer

Rebug.png
  • What's new since 4.84.1 REX/D-REX?
    • Installation issue fix (This has been bugged for the past 7 years due to missing the license agreement for 3 languages including English[UK], Brazilian Portuguese and Turkish. Certain users used to have a problem installing REBUG while on recovery mode, and this is finally resolved!) *no more data corruption error!*

Thanks, I'm checkin mmcm right now sir. :loyal:

multiman seems steady now, thank God, I'll try all the functions, I'll get back asap.

webman setup -- I set plugin memory usage to: 1280kb?
At the combo Dell Cfw syscalls do I need to have PSMAPI enabled?

I got an error 8071053d for the webman. Page cannot be displayed. What is this all about?

I installed again the webman holding L1 and pressing X, still holding L1 until ps3 reboots.

Issues remain for multiman, at some point it didnt't respond to the controller d-pad, I pressed ps button and gave me a black screen.

Mmcm seems like it tries to update, why there are very old version files to my mmcm web tab? Can I force mmcm to disable automatic
checking updates for various apps? It gives me showtime versions of 2016 and 2014, what the heck?

You mean these little beasts: HDD Enclosure and 4 Port powered USB Hub.

View attachment 19132

They are well worth the money you pay for them> They are cheap, durable and work perfect on PS3 and other consoles for External Storage. I use both of these on my PS3s. Works with both SATA and SSD.

I just like Sabrent Tech full stop mate, I took a chance on buying something from the Brand and haven't looked back since. Most stuff now is Sabrent I have, There USB cable are second to non as well. I hace 4 USB to Mini USB cable for my PS3 controllers, USB cable for charging phones. As I say well worth it> Price and quality are exceptional.
Me? I don't know what brand that is nor i would buy that $h!t mate! [emoji1787][emoji1787]

Well you wouldn't lol, its an American Company. Cheap, reliable and durbale. Why would I spend more money on a well branded product that does exactly the same as this but breaks easy...:-p

And it was @pinky who tagged you... not me lol...

Czy na pewno umiesz czytać po angielsku? :D:-p

After Installing webMAN mod while holding L1, console will reboot.
Wait few seconds after console will fully boot.
Turn it off. Turn it on. Now everything should be fine.

Check the "boot_plugins.txt" on the root of dev_hdd0 as this normaly happens when it not there or if you have disbaled the SYSCALS and try to use it won't work as Cobra has a built in Homebrew blocker when the SYSCALs are disabled to prevent accidental use while logged in to PSN.

Console will fully boot to XMB, then I turn it off? And then on again? Am I got it right?

I cannot copy paste files from internal to usb stick at this point, therefore I can not edit the boot_plugins.txt file. I see it but I cannot transfer it. After I press paste I only see a black screen with the options YES or NO without any description at all.

I'm rolling back to a previous version of ps3 backup data file which is clean without webman setup files.

Multiman is not steady, maybe I can try to switch to normal mode before I proceed with a full restoration process.

Does it affect the webman operation if I chang some webman setup options?

Fan is dynamic auto 68% + manual 40%.
I removed a few shortcuts combos and plugin memory usage is set to: 1280kb

I also have my ps3 connected with internet using an ethernet cable.

I changed back to the following settings:

selector > system mode -- normal
XMB Operation Mode -- debug

I was able to copy paste the file boot_plugins from the hdd0 root that you suggested me to external usb.

I edited to my pc.

It only has a webftp server file:

/dev_hdd0/plugins/webftp_server.sprx

OK at least its on there.

Did you check to make sure the file that is in the boot_plugins.txt is actually there in the folder it says... if it not then webMAN will keep coming up with that error when you open it....

I just got a 1TB 2.5' hdd western digital WD10SPZX. Do I need to format it with one pass zeros using a pc utitlity or I can plug it as is directly to the console and start the firmware installation process? The hdd is brand new sealed.

The PS3 will format it either way when you put it in , so it's up to you.

If its brand new I wouldn't bother and just whack it in, or if its second hand you could give it a quick or full wipe on PC before hand.

Whatever you feel is best.

I finished the firmware installation (Rebug Rex 4.84.2). Everything smoothly to the end.

I'm just confirming...
With a fresh new installation to a new hdd drive with the Rebug Rex 4.84.2 and without any homebrew app installed, the video settings from the system settings are missing when the system boot to the XMB right after the hdd format and firmware installation. Am I correct? Anybody able to confirm that? This is important for me because it helps me understand I am at the right path.

I only need a confirmation that my XMB system settings are normal.

Yes they should be missing as when you install REBUG it is set by default to DEBUG XMB .

If you want to change that then install REBUG Toolbox which will already be in Package Manager under "Install from System Storage" and you can change it by finding "XMB Operation Mode" and change it from "DEBUG" to "Retail".
