Since Sony dropped the 4.83 System Update on the PS3 community, we have seen several new CFW options along with several utilities and tools arise as developer's have been making updates to their projects. Now we see the first AIO homebrew in the form of the ManaGunZ developed by @Zar to see full support for 4.83 (CEX) CFW. Also in this update there has been new scanning for those classic PHAT Ps3 consoles with the memory card readers. These changes and more are listed in the official changelog provided by Zar. Have any questions or feedback for developer @Zar please drop a line in the comments below as the developer is a frequent in the psx-place forums/ If you have a CFW enabled PS3 this is a homebrew app this is worth checking out, if you have not already

Install the pkg, you'll see the PSP launcher icon in the XMB.
Go to ManaGunZ select your psp game and mount it, it will go back to the XMB.
Finally, launch the PSP launcher. You'll probably see the icon of your PSP game instead of the PSP launcher icon.
Hmmm, i just had an idea

You can include the EBOOT of the "PSP launcher" inside managunz installation, then in managunz game selection screen... instead of displaying a "mount game" for PSP games you can display the option "create PSP shorcut PKG"
And when using it... managunz creates (and installs) the shourcut PKG with the PSP launcher eboot + icons, etc...

how i can do that

It was a suggestion for zar, by now you cant do it because managunz doesnt works like what i said

Actual managunz version have a feature to "create shorcut PKG" for PS3 games, this creates (and autoinstalls) a small PKG, the installed PKG looks like if the game was installed in XMB, but is a "shorcut" to managunz to load the PS3 game (in ISO or JB format). And this only works with PS3 games

The "create shorcut PKG" for other game formats (PS1, PS2, PSP) is in the "todo" list since some versions ago, in other words... you cant "create shorcut PKG" for PS1, PS2, PSP

In the settings first you need to enable the FLOW mode, this makes appear some options under it
In one of this options you can choose 2 display modes: FLOW 3D or FLOW 2D
By default when you enable FLOW it uses the 3D mode, if you want the 2D mode you need to change it

And the "game covers" is other of the options located next to this ones im talking about
Additionally in the FLOW 2D mode you can enable the "game cases" (is an image of a plastic case that appears around the cover)

I got it thanks to you.
thank you

Hello.

First of all, I loved the Managunz and it's standalone filemanager. It's really easy to operate and has many options. Thank you @Zar!

Does Managunz has a fan control plugin like Irisman or WebMAN Mod?

And why Managunz doesn't have a smooth interface? I mean, Retroarch's XMB is animated smoothly like the PS3 XMB but it looks that Magnagunz has a bad fps or something like that.

Where should I put the cover image if the PS2 game is not detected?

My best regards.

I never felt any lag, not sure what you mean, explain it better

Where should I put the cover image if the PS2 game is not detected?

If the PS2 game is not detected then is not going to display any cover for it :D
If you see a default icon for the game it means is detected, try to download the covers online, managunz has a option for that

About the lag I mean while in Managunz's XMB the transition from a folder or category like PS3, PS1, PS2, PSP while using de D-pad is very slow compared to the experience of using Retroarch's XMB or PS3's XMB.
Let me compare... It's like playing on Quake 2 on pc using software rendering (Magnagunz) and Quake 2 with opengl or 3dfx, the animation and smoothness is quite visible from one to another.

About the cover, I installed a japanese ps2 game, it works. But the cover was not detected or downloaded. Is there a way to install the cover manually?

Well, managunz has several view modes that can be selected under option "UI"
Are availables: LIST, GRID, XMB, and FLOW (with 2 variants of FLOW for 2D and 3D)

The only one that was a bit laggy for me as far i remember, was the FLOW 3D... but this happened in previous versions of managunz (because the FLOW 3D mode was a bit experimental)
All the others works fine for me without lag, so i cant imagine why you have that feeling of lag

For the covers... the easyest way to see how it works is by downloading some covers with the option inside managunz, this downloads the game covers from onilne servers

After that... enter in the filemanager, and browser to the path:
dev_hdd0/game/MANAGUNZ0 (or something like that, i dont remember the name of the folder right now)
This is the installation path of managunz... the game covers are in one of the subfolders named COVERS

And the image names follows this naming BLES12345.PNG (or JPG)
For PS1 and PS2 games the cover name is a bit more weird, like this: SLUS_12.345.PNG (or something like that)

Thanks! I will try again as soon as my PS3 is back from maintenance. Maybe it was laggy because I was transferring files with openps3ftp-ntfs, I don't remember exactly.

Which fan control plugin/app do you recommend using with Managunz?

Hey all! ManagunZ is awesome! I have a question. I can't seem to get it to see games installed to XMB directly via pkg. Am I missing something, or is that just not implemented? Thanks.

If I play a game like Champions of Norrath, for example, is it going to automatic load a config to fix things or should I config it manually for compatibility? If so, where is this database of configs?
I read a lot but I think I got confused =P

Other thing... the covers were downloaded but only some of them are shown.
PS: While browsing the FTP I can find the files.

Edit: Ok, i got it. The CFG loads automatically.
Still not all images are showing up.

@joe musashi you need to install the PSP Launcher.

It make me think about adding an error message if the pkg isn't installed.

i did but i keeps tall me that go to ps store

I've tried
Cobra-USB_PSP-Launcher_v2.0.pkg.293.v2.0_brewology_com
Cobra-CFW_PSP-Launcher_v2.0_[Remasters_MOD].pkg.993.v2.00_brewology_com
PSP_Launcher_Fixed.pkg.330.v2.00_brewology_com
PSP Remasters Launcher Fixed [jjkkyu]
and they all want to direct me to the PS store to fix the license.
