Thats nothing to do with the firmware version. your games still need to be updated to the latest game version to be used online.
Just put your game in or load your backup or whatever you do to play games, stay on the XMB, don't sign into PSN, press triangle on the game, then update. Or you can search online for the right PKG to update that way.
Updating your game doesn't come from the PSN servers, it comes directly from the developer or publisher server so you won't risk it a ban by doing it either way.

Now in DEX things could be different i do not mess with DEX and PSN, i think that is a red flag to get an easy ban IMO.

Meaning your not spoofed.
-- If games need to be updated it will state its a game update and not a system update..

It's saying I need to update system to 3.20 or 4.80 or higher and my system keeps randomly freezing have to keep restoring file system

Just to double checked. Signed in on REBUG 4.82.2 D-REX just now with no problems. Is also set to DEX but instead of using the IDPS that starts 0000000820001 I am using the EID5 which is 0000000870001.

DEX is not on the same pace as CEx (one is retail and one is debug)
DEX side if not mistaken will work after a CEX firmware update for sometime. (weeks usually if not mistaken) < i rarely have a need for DEX so i do not mess with DEX much but i believe that is how that works. its not spoofing but rather the connection is still working, but again i do not use DEX to connect to PSN at all. so i may not be 100% but i think i am correct in that assessment if memory serves right)

As long as your using the IDPS EID5 for your console it makes no difference what your TARGET ID is (CEX or DEX) on REBUG Firmware. Can't say anything about the LITE versions but people on REX and D-REX should never lose the ability to sign in. If they do they then they are doing something wrong or using something the wrong way.
My console has been set up this way for years and never lost the ability to sign in and never been asked to update to a higher version, even when I was on 4.80 D-REX until 4.82.2 D-REX was released and I was on 4.80 D-REX as soon as it was released, so that should be over a year on a lower firmware without being asked to update and never lost the ability to sign in to PSN and play online.
The only thing kept upto date was the game updates and made sure to use psn patch to patch games to 4.20.
All I use is CCAPI to spoof from EID0 (DEX) to EID5 (CEX) on boot. Then disable syscals before signing in. Done this for years and not been banned or not being able to sign in lol.

I know what they are lol, I used to work in games industry and am very used to DEX firmware and how to use the debug options properly lol, and also my dad has worked in the industry for over 30 years now so from a very young age I have messed about with cracked and jailbreak consoles, the PC software that is used to develop games and apps, had a few dev consoles at home meself such as DECR and PS2 dev stations and debug stations lol.

Was not speaking of your setup in general
but this guy also who has trouble knowing the difference between HAN and CFW so a more advanced topic like yours may not be best for him until some other basic aspects are learned. because he is just going to add additional troubles for himself until he knows more about what he is doing and performing.

I had a console on 4.75 DEX till some time ago. But with the latest plataforms updates from $ony dex under 4.82 couldn't log anymore into PSN without a spoof. It gave you errors at the begining (when they started to change/update things (maybe certs) on their plataform) when you tried to create a new user psn account and later lower dex version couldn't log into PSN, period. Only (rebug) DEX 4.82.x still has access without spoofing, like said already, it's normal, because DEX cames later than CEX, so you can still access the plataform. On DEX, users have to spoof their original IDPS region (85, 87, ... or if using other IDPS the region that IDPS has) with e.g. Webman or they couldn't access PSN (DEX/Debug is 82).
@Xx_Tawwqeerr_xX that screen to update with 3.20 or later is normal when errors (corruption for ex.) do happen on DEX or when you try to install a new HDD or same one (was formatted) but if you are on version 4.81 DEX you know that's the version you need to install or later, if not sometimes you might end up in a instalation loop (easily fixed by formating the hdd).

I would delete it's game data (game, updates, dlc), reinstall it again (if it was only for a game) because you might have some corruption on it's files. The rest is normal. To log into PSN you do need a spoof version (SEN ENABLER) or go with 4.82.2 D-REX and update to latest webman and install the new rebug toolbox (if you do have a spoof, you need to uninstall it first if only you decide to update the fw).
Think this will sort you out, by the information you shared.

Cant you just nor flash a 3000 or superslim back to 4.82 with a hardmod if you want han back? I know its a costly option compared to just buying a cfw console,but of course a option is still a option.

REBUG auto spoofs (it's built-in to the firmware) so there is no need to use a separate app for doing this.
It not the same as not needing to, its done for the you automatically.
