PS4 PSXHAX.com provides more fake PS4 news (They want your pageclicks for purposely misleading you)

Well this is nothing new but is very sad and well i figure I needed to speak on it a bit, since i get this questions about these type of claims often,, Scene sites are promoting FAKE NEWS left and right., It really should tell the user who is the creditable news sources in this scene and who is not. Why is psx-place.com not reporting the latest PS4 "progress" about 4.50 PS4 LINUX that has spewed out these fake news sites mainpage? Well, the simple answer is WE DO NOT REPORT FAKE NEWS, so that would be the main reason as there is no legitimacy to the claims of a PS4 4.50 Linux Hack. There is not much news for the end user on PS4 hacking,most of things stay private until they are ready or the time is right . Did you know about other groundbreaking exploits in advance or did they just appear?

Its seems like every month or so there is a new "holy grail" claim posted there and it attracts alot of clicks (there is your motive), Has anything come out of these past claims? No, because they are from horrible sources and anyone that has been in the community knows facts do not add up or there is simply no facts but just some user(s) posting random junk. but as long as you can get a title off it and write some BS along with it, then well you have the latest PS4 fake news story. Right now anyone could write some BS write up about PS4 hacking and it will posted it there on the mainpage and formatted by the site admin himself with various site links added and such.

The person with these claims is not the most trustworthy person (racer0018) as wololo.net has pointed out with the first initial claim of that hack was "detailed" on PSXHAX , Racer0018 has NEVER been considered a developer or hacker and was in the PS3 Community for awhile, so now this guys is going to pull a PS4 exploit out of his butt (i dnn't see an exploit but something dropping from that image above).. I highly doubt that to be the case.Infact the facts do not add up and someone with as many trust issues as both PSXHAX and racer0018 have in the community, safe to say this yet another troll attempt they are doing on the scene.​

We have a bad source on the information, with claims and BS wrapped in those claims and we have a dishonest scene site who is promoting this claim in PSXHAX (aka PS3news aka PS4news) So no real facts , no details and comes from this untrusted source.​

Already it seems like they are preparing the delivery of disappointment with news that now 4.50 release. They chose to say it works on the beta 4.50 (with no proof) so they could then claimed Sony patched it later. A real hacker would not even talk about something until 4.50 was already public,

This whole idea that a hack on lower firmware is good for the PS4 community is funny as well. ITS A VERY SMALL NUMBER OF PEOPLE that will stay on lower firmwares and even if you are in that group you wont get much out of it . WHY? because it will be a ghost town!!!!! you think certain scenes are dead, a firmware that a couple hundred even thousand (which is too much to say honestly) is not going to be any good for the PS4 community in terms of launching what the PSP / PS3 / Vita / PlayStation TV has done with hacks that originate on the current firmware at that time. the hacks for those other systems did not come on a previous firmware they originated on the latest firmwares. Which is a huge difference, 4.0X is no different then 1.76 right now. If majority of devs / people can't easily reach that firmware then development will be very slooooooowwwww. Has there been an explosion on 1.76? So what would make 4.0x different?​

I don't see much of this but some tired excuses of why they could not do it, Likely the claim will be Sony patched it ing 4.50 or they will blame it on the community not believing them or something dumb.

I used to get involved in scene drama too, some things made me royally angry, but I came to realize that it wasn't worth it. gaming is meant to be enjoyable, not whatever this is. keep level-headed is my advice. it took me a long time to learn this, but in the end, letting go was the best choice I could've made. .

I am talking about corruption and dishonesty, which is where you are king.
You KNEW that True Blue was NOT needed, yet you pushed that crap forward, because it was a nice financial touch for you, just as you promoted PS Jailbreak when you also knew it wasn't needed.
You KNEW both these devices could have went the software route, you could have save many people a lot of money, instead you decided to grab all the financial gains you could.

I will give you your fair dues and state that you do not post fake news and you stay away from the drama, but do not call me a liar when you know, regarding reDRM devices and scene financial gain, you are no different than PSXHaX.

throw your stones, rehash history.... idc. But try to refrain from ass and such. I know you guys have history and I'm the last person to get into that stuff and start removing posts. (Which I never do) Just attack with truth if you have too but keep it below PG. This post was bound to bring a bit of drama from the past but STL's intention of this was not to bring up good old trueblue. Its about informing current sceners about a site that is reporting false info and misleading the scene. Perhaps thrash it out in PM?

Gary, you where mentioned by PSXhax as been someone here you are not. Not much to worry about imo. Lets move away from the past stuff guys and keep the topic to current affairs.

Yeah, I knew of the username racer. I don't know him though & took his posts with a grain of salt. I just got the names of the websites/forums mixed up with each other. What's wrong with that? Don't accuse me of stuff you don't know about me either. Let this go would be best because you ain't no saint buddy.

For people who have been in the scene as long as us, I think we are mature enough to handle this ISH and keep the pressure on. This has been years in perfecting.
Everyone can agree the drama needs to leave the scene before we can see what's really going on behind the scenes.

 

@pinky and anyone who thinks this about drama. That is where you are wrong, its about awareness.

So of us know alot about them and others do not. We have seen them not just report scams, but really promote them and try and give credibility to them. Making people Developer's and Moderator's thus giving an un-suspecting and unknowing memberthe illusion everything is on the up and up and this is the fundemetal issue we have.

This is why so many sites/devs/members are up in arms over this, I just brought the subject to the forefront and its been positive since as everyone seems to agree and its not just some "site wars" shit but a problem for anyone who truly cares about the scene.

People depend on myself and other legitimate news sources for our take and opinion and if i see a danger, i would warn just like anyhting else. . If it was for example a product then no one would say drama, but a site it automatically drama. I disagree, its about awareness of an issue.

 

@STLcardsWS , I don't know y I'm singled out. I, along with several of ur staff, were merely trying to diffuse the situation. I've been on here for most of the day, and there have been times when there's been no activity for perhaps hours. allowing such negativity to fester is counter-productive. u of all people should have known what the response would be about bringing "awareness" to a situation. many of the people here r from other, sometimes competing, sites.

I think it could be considered awareness of drama.
As in people are being made aware there is a rogue scene site owner who admits to having intentions of causing intentional drama for clicks... who response to the current *self-inflicted* "drama" is only to reply with more drama.
There is a saying I like, "Put up or shut up!"
Like I said, a lot of us are adults here. You can only "play" with us to a certain extent. People are damn well, and should be, held accountable for there actions. Life is serious, this ish is not a game.

Come on, its obvious why he made this post.

1.) Re-direct the blame off himself and re-directed to his staff
-- He edits all news and adds the usual stuff, in-site links, images, formatting ect..
-- He promotes most of the news himself.
-- He has final say and editing powers to add (rumour, danger ect.). How much PS3 brickware links are still on his site to this day and i know i had various warnings to those release, Where i felt the need to do a article to warn people because they were doing opposite suggesting its the next best CFW. The problem is when he knows or learns there is a problem he does care..

2.) If other websites (which not just my articles but some other sites like s7vensin , Xtreme-Modding to name a couple of others ) has psxhax warnings, then him being psxhax and adding some of those Clickbait and fake news topics to his own news and then him re-directing and cleaning it up. Was the sole motivation here. He knows the scene vet he can not fool, but the new user's the very ones I am also trying to warn he is re-directing it. That is very obvious guys


Like i said above this is about whats right and not about drama (or site wars) but to educate people and preventing/limiting future scams.

Well i was replying to you and also directing to anyone else, because @GaryOPA had mentioned also Site wars and i do not see it as that. But awareness of an issue to unsuspecting.

You just take things quite personally when you should not and see things that are not quite there. I do not know how to respond to that because you took what i said wrong
