PSN Liberator - Convert PSN Content to Disc Format

¿Anyone was able to convert Abyss Oddyssey?
It's not in the lists so I don't know if it can't be converted to disk or if I'm doing something wrong...

thanks!! :)

Hi guys & @Rudi Rastelli,
I am trying to liberate a PSN game, I have created a rap file and put it in the folder (plus my act.dat and idps), and now using the 1.0 version of Rudi's tool.
But I end up in the following error:
ERROR : Could Not Resign 'XXXXXXXXXXXXX\USRDIR\EBOOT.BIN'
Any ideas why? What is wrong there?
Thanks!!

I have exactly the same name as the one I see in EBOOT.BIN, so it's not an issue as well here... :(
I put the rap file in 2 directories:
PSN CONTENT\RIFsRAPs
and
Tools\RAPs

As far as I understand it should be a valid one, yes.

you have Aldo's tools, use them to check the integrity of the game files and the RAP/RIF edat or whatever is needed, if a big green tick doesn't appear in the corner of Aldos integrity tools then there is something wrong.

Just downloaded this (PSN Liberator) myself the other day and backed up the folders for my downloaded games from the PS Store as well as the licenses (mostly rif but o e or two edat files as well).

Does PSN Liberator essentially remove the license requirements once converted? So I'd have a PKG or ISO afterwards that I could install on any CFW and it would work just like that?

Yea , once you provide your data. Then when its converted to ISO you can use the same way as your disc backups.

Handy to have your collection all in one place. (as backup manager's will only display / launch ISO (or JB (folder) format) backups and not your PSN content).

You need our IDPS, PSID and act.dat from your PS3 for this to work as well as any licence file's needed by the game - rap, rif, edat. It will ask for them the first time you boot the app. if you don't have them it wont 'Liberate' the game for you, basically turn it into some thing that you can install. Way better than repeatedly downloading the stuff off PSN all the time and very handy for if you get banned, as you have usable backups of all your paid PSN content.

In the versions before 0.96 (just checked it) there was a "Database" menu item, which was greyed out in the following Liberator versions. It seems that klic & edat data was available for lots of games directly from the tool. As I am not sure if I properly created my RAP file, can anyone maybe point me in the right direction where to find such a database?

I never used this tool, but i guess when the ISO is made you can load it in any PS3 (in other words... is not "linked" to a PS3) without need to install any other stuff (licenses/rif/rap), right ?

I am not going point people in the right direction of RAP licence files, no offence. What you need to do is extract the "rif" file associated with the game form the account on your PS3, the game may also need and edat file, not all games just have 1 licence file they can have a couple, us games dev's are not as stupid as many believe lol. With the rif use a tool called RIF to RAP ( you need your IDPS and act.dat for this tool as well )

Make sure you have everything the tools need or they wont work properly. And check them once done with Aldos Tools. With these tolls installed correctly you should just be able to double click on edats and RAP file and it should tell you if they are right or not.

More or less, you can make pkg file as well to install the content. Without the proper files the app will not do a thing. I used this for all my PSN content so i could keep them on an external HDD and use them whenever I wanted with out the need to download them all the time if I say wanted to free up some space for something else.

Created your RAP?
How? Using rif2rap & a rif file from your ps3?
If so, you will get a valid rap license if you provided the exact same act.dat & idps that were originally used to create the rif file.

If you are sure about the act.dat because you always used the same one for everything & never spoofed the idps, you will get a valid rap file.
If not, you will either need to find the right act.dat & idps pair or get the rap from another source.

Iirc all the available klic & edat files are included in ps3tools by aldostools. Install the app if you haven't done so already.

I forgot to mention, I already followed the first time setup and placed act.dat and entered my IDPS/PSID (32 characters) so it should be all ready to go. Thanks for the confirmation and to @STLcardsWS also :)

For some weird reason PSN Liberator (I tried several versions) fails for this particular game (not tried it with other games yet), even though I have everything in place.
But I managed to resign EBOOT and SELF+SPRX+EDAT with other tools, changed the folder structure and PARAM.SFO, so the game finally boots as a disc folder game properly, BUT I ran into the following problem - I am getting now a trophy error (80022d35) and the game freezes. I checked the trophy file TROPHY.TRP and contrary to other games it seems to be encrypted as it doesn't have any readable header, instead the header begins with "ðé`ÒFSz2J¸ÅÊï0'". In other cases I see the "Ü¢M" and clearly readable file names, plus I can extract trophies. In this case trophies can't be extracted either.
Therefore two questions:
- is there any way how to decrypt a trophy file
- are there any dedicated PKG decryption tools, in case if the standard PKG View and PKG Ripper fail to decrypt some files?

Thanks!!

if you have multiple users or your ps3 (this means you will have multiple act.dats) you need to use the act.dat that is in the same folder as the .rif...idps (no extension) is a 16 bytes bin file!..there is no need for psid!..

tl:dr

iirc, you need the eboot and the rap to get the klicense. you can either look it up (aldostools txt has hundreds), bruteforce it, or allow the system to get it via cfw tools. the last way is the most convenient.
