I just realized that here is webMAN Thread not Tools Colletion ahah, my bad ;P
BTW
@aldostools is there any automatic way to change the resign keys when resigning prx to sprx back, without the need to use scetools command line? directly via context menu?
II asked this because I always need to change the sprx keys to 3.55 to work in HEN and go to scetools every time and search for the right code, it takes a while :P

You could just make a simple batch file.
To avoid the long list of options I use the scetool template option & provide an appropriate template.sprx file, the batch file automates the scetool call.
@aldostools is it "normal" to be able do disable wMM and syscalls with PSNPatch while you are in a Homebrew App? I pressed PS3 button to access the XMB and then I get back to Homebrew but as soon as I was in Retroarch, I pressed by mistake L3+R3+R2 (I was confused of the combo in how to access the Retroarch Quickmenu) so I got the notification that wMM was unloaded and PSN was restored.
I was worried because this way I could sign in to PSN (or Maybe Sony could do a check in my system?) and I could have a ban because I was using a homebrew. It would be cool if this combo was blocked by default while in Homebrew and it would only work if a toggle in Setup.ps3 was set to make it work while in Homebrew.
I was using 4.88.2 Evilnat's cfw by the way and wMM 1.47.36 + PSNpatch 2017.02/B.
About the Retroarch version, I don't remember if it was the old 1.76 which folder is something like SSNESEMU or if it was the latest beta 3 RETROARCH from Crystal, I was testing both last night.

webMAN MOD is unloaded with L3+R3+R2, but the CFW syscalls are disabled with R2+TRIANGLE.
I think PSNpatch uses intentionally the same combo L3+R3+R2 to disable the CFW syscalls. So both actions are performed with a single combo.
You can disable the CFW syscalls at any moment. So it is "normal". However it is not recommended to try to login to PSN while a homebrew is running or with CFW syscalls enabled.
Do you if there a feature on webMAN MOD or cobra to hide/provide access to /dev_bdvd/PS3_UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP ? (from a physical Blu-Ray)
I couldn't get access to it, if yes can we disable it ?
it's probably coming from webMAN or cobra because when I'm disabling them it appears.

I've never heard of that other than rebug's patch, which changes PS3_UPDATE folder to NOT_UPDATE for dev_bdvd and some other bluray format (might be videos). it only works in the recovery menu afaik though, since it uses a hierarchical structure of some sort. I think the hierarchy is listed in order in the emer_init.self. that's where I found that patch.

aldo, you literally think of everything! I haven't messed with the ps3 stuff in some time, still keep updated like I do with all exploited systems, but I haven't really kept apprised on what can or can't be done.
"webMAN MOD is a fork of the original webMAN plugin by developer deank. A forked version of webMAN first appeared by developer Matsumot0, adding various console ID spoofing abilities to start the webMAN MOD fork and adding many other contributions and updates to the project along the development path. Developer aldostools took what was already a masterpiece to new heights by adding a ton of functionality with many updates to the fork and taking the foundation of webMAN and making it a true AIO solution for your PS3 CFW needs." -STLcardsWS

webMAN MOD History View changelogs by version in the tabs provided below
Added Remap USB000 to HDD0 and Unmap USB000 to VSH Menu and webMAN.xml
Added scanning for .img, .mdf, .bin to /BDISO and /DVDISO folders
Now use double quotes instead of single quotes in gamelist.js (slider view)
Added /dev_hdd0/plugins/PS3Lock to plugin lists in ps3mapi
Updated LANG_ZH.TXT and webMAN_ZH.xml (thanks to @sheaushyong )
Added icon resizer to game grid (html) - Double click on the resizer to return the icons to the original size.
Added search icon to game grid (html)
Fixed duplicate entries (.cue/.bin) for PSX games stored on /net servers
1.43.25
Fixed Bug: Show temperature bug (when syscalls disables) link
1.43.24
4.78 CFW Support Added
1.43.23
The issue about games not showing when "Disable grouping of content in "webMAN Games" is selected seems to be a regression present since build 1.43.20, but nobody reported about it until now.
1.43.22
Added the ability to auto-copy to the internal hdd the PS2 ISO mounted from /dev_usb00x or /net, and PSP ISO mounted from /net
PSPISO and PS2ISO are now shown on game list (XMB/HTML) for /dev_usb00x and /net drives
Changed the message shown when a game is mounted:
Formerly it first showed: "Game xxx" loaded. Then proceeded to mount the game.
Now it shows the path being mounted, proceed to mount the game, then show: "Game xxx" loaded.
added 3 new memory profiles, changed them to a combo box in /setup.ps3 and fixed a bug when a category reach the max number of items. (Additional Info --LINK)
This new build has improved speed loading PS3ISO through ps3netsvr running on PS3 and more free memory thanks to the smaller stack sizes used in the threads.
Also I reverted the dynamic buffer size for FTP to use static buffers of 128KB... the increased buffer size doesn't seem to affect the performance.
This build fixes a regression in the detection of firmware version (the bug is present in 1.43.18). It causes the fan control and other features to stop working properly.
So it's highly suggested to update to this version if you're using 1.43.18
The new feature in this build is that it has a *partial* port of the ps3netsvr for the PS3. Now people with multiple PS3 consoles should be able to share their games among them. The feature is not fully tested, but in my quick tests the PS3 and PSX ISOs worked fine.
The ps3netsvr service running on the PS3 has certain limitations:
Only ISOs are supported (PS3ISO, PSXISO, BDISO, DVDISO). Support for multi-part ISOs will be added later.
File copy is supported (e.g. videos, pkg, music, etc.)
A maximum of 3 net clients are supported.
Games in JB folders (GAMES or GAMEZ) are not supported, and I do not have plans to add virtual ISO.
The games stored in different the devices are listed in merged folders (e.g. /net0/PS3ISO will list the files from /dev_hdd0, /dev_usb000, /dev_usb001, /dev_ms, etc.)
NTFS devices are not supported.
Another feature is addition for the support for up to 5 net servers (/net0, /net1, /net2, /net3, /net4)
Note: These/netsvr features are available only in the full version, due the amount of memory required.
1.43.18
I have updated webMAN MOD 1.43.18 to fix a critical bug reading/copying files from real BD discs where the files were read/copied encrypted (making them useless). (This bug made Backup Disc to hdd0 completely useless)

prepNTFS 1.11 Changes
Added support for folders with [auto] tag
1.43.10 Fixed:
Added more wait time after disc eject. It seems to solve the issue that I had unmounting PS2ISO.
Changing the fan mode from dynamic to manual, there was a delay of 0.5 secs while dynamic fan control was checking the temps. If the mode was changed to manual, after the delay the fan control could change it back to another random value.
The VSH Menu now uses much less CPU. The frame display now uses cached values refreshed at different intervals, instead of get them on each frame (~12 times per second). CFW version is loaded once, temps are updated every 3 secs, devices are updated every 6 secs, ip address and payload type are updated once every time the menu is enabled.
Improved pad response when VSH Menu is on, keeping the same frame rate (~12Hz).

VSH Menu 0.7
Added option to disable startup message
Fixed a bug with left/right on Rebug menu
New default background image by jriko
1.43.07
There are some minor tweaks and fixes, but the major change is the integration with the VSH Menu.
VSH Menu for webMAN now can be installed optionally (Holding R1 when launching the Updater)
The source code for the VSH Menu project is included under the folder "vsh_menu".
webMAN MOD now supports http requests through a local file interface (/dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_request)
Example: "GET /mount.ps3/dev_hdd0/PS3ISO/MyGame.iso" (sans quotes)
Now it should be easier for devs to integrate their homebrews with webMAN MOD.
Special thanks to littlebalup, Mysis, 3141card and Orion for the VSH Menu.
Added http commands: /mkdir.ps3 and /rmdir.ps3 (without parameters they create hdd folders for ISOs)
/dev_bdvd/PS3_UPDATE now is redirected when the plugin is loaded (and when a game is mounted) [This is intended to prevent an accidental update if a game disc is inserted in the drive]
XML: Improved sorting of titles that include numbers (e.g. Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3)
Fixed bug fixing game folders with many subfolders (+6 levels)
Fixed filter games by title (/games.ps3?title and /index.ps3?title)

Updated Russian lang file again
Updated German lang file
Updated webMAN_XX.xml files
New icons has better definitions + some new
Your ps3 IP/shutdown.ps3 uses the syscall power off (like before). Your ps3 IP/shutdown.ps3?vsh now uses the VSH method (performs a standby). Any parameter can be used (e.g. /shutdown.ps3?standby)
Your ps3 IP/restart.ps3 now uses VSH restart (instead of lpar restart).
Your ps3 IP/reboot.ps3?vsh does the same as restart.ps3 Your ps3 IP/reboot.ps3?quick performs lpar restart Your ps3 IP/reboot.ps3?soft performs soft restart via syscall Your ps3 IP/reboot.ps3 performs hard reboot via syscall
Notice: There is an important difference between VSH shutdown and syscall power off.
The syscall turns off the console completely. The VSH leaves the console in standby if Settings > Remote Play Settings > Remote Start is turned On.
If the option is Off, the console turns off complet
Additional details from Aldostools:
I left the combos L3+R2+O (restart) and L3+R2+X (power off) using the current syscalls as before.
I changed the combo L3+R1+O to restart using VSH method and added L3+R1+X to shutdown using VSH method.
/shutdown.ps3 uses the syscall power off (like before).
/shutdown.ps3?vsh now uses the VSH method (performs a standby). Any parameter can be used (e.g. /shutdown.ps3?standby)
/restart.ps3 now uses VSH restart (instead of lpar restart).
/reboot.ps3?vsh does the same as restart.ps3
/reboot.ps3?quick performs lpar restart
/reboot.ps3?soft performs soft restart via syscall
/reboot.ps3 performs hard reboot via syscall
Notice: There is an important difference between VSH shutdown and syscall power off.
The syscall turns off the console completely. The VSH leaves the console in standby if Settings > Remote Play Settings > Remote Start (PS3) is turned On.
If the option is Off, the console turns off completly.
I also changed the restart method for togglers (cobra, rebug, ps2emu, etc.). Now they use VSH restart, instead of lpar restart.
BTW the main.c now is quite smaller (less than 3000 lines, vs. more than 15000 lines in earlier versions).
This is due the file has been split into 32 modules found in the "include" folder
I hope that this change can make the code easier to maintain and analyze.
Credits to @Matsumot0 , mysis & 3141card for the vsh restart/shutdown functions.
1.43.03
Added support for _hold / _release parameters in /pad.ps3 (for faster/better response in virtual pad)
Thanks again! Good job @OsirisX . The source code includes the latest changes made by @Matsumot0
P.S. I love how it behaves with the XMB's video player
TIP:
For Movian, use the light theme... The dark theme now doesn't behave properly due the double commands.
If you still want to use the dark theme, press F2 to toggle the "web pad"
Support 4.76 CEX (thanks Sony, for this biggest fw update...)
Control fan system is better than before (more explanation below by aldotools)
The game list is now sort by CD# (e.g FF PS1)
Local IP with adapter is now displayed (config and popup)
Offsets improvement for fix game compatibility
Updated Italian & Russian lang files
Let me try to explain how it works
webMAN's fan control tries to keep cool CPU and RSX.
If one of them reach the target/max temperature (e.g. 66 C), the fan speed will be increased gradually (+2) until the temperature start to decrease.
If the temperature is 1 degree or more higher than the target/max temperature, then the fan speed is increased even more faster.
When the temperature start to decrease, the fan speed is decreased gradually (-1). This is done that way, because we want to keep the temperature as cool as possible and avoid the "yo-yo" effect.
deank added additional heuristics to manage some special conditions, but in simple terms this is the algorithm.
So I decrease the fan speed faster under the following conditions:
If the temperature is 3 degrees below the target/max temperature, it decreases the fan speed -1. if the fan speed is higher than 66%, it decreases -2
If the temperature is 5 degrees below the target/max temperature, it decreases the fan speed -1. if the fan speed is higher than 50%, it decreases -2

Changelogs for webMAN Mod v1.33.xx
1.33.06 Multi 23 (2014-12-11):
Added support for a 3rd nethost server
Added 4 extended content profiles
Commited pull request by webserfer on LANG_RU.TXT: Too long line breaks..
Let me explain the concept of "extended content profile":
Consider this scenario: 1 console used by multiple family members (e.g. kids and adults)
You probably don't want the kids or girl accessing your adult content (shooters, adult movies, etc.) or simply you want to have your content organized in some way.
The extended content profiles let you show the regular content on (/GAMES, /GAMEZ, /PS3ISO, /BDISO, etc.) plus "extended content" stored on /GAMES_1, /GAMEZ_1, /PS3ISO_1, /BDISO_1, etc.
You can quickly select the 4 profiles or restore the default global profile pressing:
SELECT+R3 = Scan default folders
SELECT+R2+R3 = Profile 1
SELECT+L2+R3 = Profile 2
SELECT+R1+R3 = Profile 3
SELECT+L1+R3 = Profile 4
The profiles can be selected through /setup.ps3 or using /index.ps3?1 or /refresh.ps3?1 (replace 1 with 2, 3, 4 for the other profiles or 0 for the default content).
If you don't select the profiles, webMAN will behave as usual...

The easiest way to install this addon is through the official installer. When launching webMAN MOD installer from the XMB:
Press and hold until the system restarts. (once installed press and hold for several seconds to spawn webMAN MOD VSH menu).
This tool can be handy for some users that need to add an icon to XMB that mount a game or execute some custom command via webMAN. The EBOOT basically reads a wm_request file stored in USRDIR and sends the command to webMAN which will process it and return to XMB. The PKG is a *template* that is intended to be customized before install it. So you'll need to edit the file wm_request, PARAM.SFO (title id & title) and maybe the ICON0.PNG.
The wm_request file should have the path of the file to be mounted or the webMAN command.
PS3 webMAN Portal, is a portal (website) by developer aldostools that adds alot of useful links and web commands for webMAN MOD Portal Address: "ps3.aldostools.org/?ip=Your PS3 IP Address Here"
WebAnd is a android tool I created for the purpose of managing your ps3 on your mobile device. This tool is intended to work with and only with WebMan, so make sure you have WebMan Enabled and that you are on the same network as your PS3. This android app will also automatically look for your PS3 and connect to it !
This tool does not need a MITM. :tustin:
net shared folder is read only. So it cannot be used to install external gamedata.

Using PKG Install (web Commands) (as of v1.43.31+)
/install.ps3<pkg-path>
/download.ps3?url=<pkg-url>
/download.ps3?to=<path>&url=<file-url>
So basically you can install a pkg from a web browser locally on the PS3 or remotely on another device. For example, this will install a pkg file called test.pkg located in /dev_hdd0/packages.
You obviously need to change the IP address to match yours.
The download web command can download any type of file although it was designed mostly for pkg files.
An optional parameter "to" can be used to choose the location where to store the downloaded file. If the "to" parameter is omitted, the default storage location is used instead i.e. /dev_hdd0/packages.
Now imagine you want to download a file called file.mp3 hosted at
Code:
http://www.example.com/file.mp3
Example 1:
You want the file to be stored on /dev_usb000/mp3/
In this case, the download command should be:
Ok so I think made a mistake, I deleted boot_plugin.txt from the PS3 HDD with multiman in order to try and get rid of webman but later I installed the latest version of webman, but now nothing works, when I try to load a game it brings out an error code, when I try to open the setup page too and even when I try to unload it, what can I do to fix this please

Try installing webMAN MOD again. If that doesn't work, do this:
1-open notepad in your PC and type the following line in notepad:
Code:
/dev_hdd0/plugins/webftp_server.sprx
2-save the file as boot_plugins.txt (all letters in lowercase)
3-start multiMAN on the PS3
4-transfer boot_plugins.txt to /dev_hdd0
5-make sure that you have this file: /dev_hdd0/plugins/webftp_server.sprx
6-reboot
Hello,
Is there any way to make Webman mod show game icons in their original aspect ratio and not turn them into squares (thus stretching them)?
@Zar I'm also mentioning you because what I'm trying to do is achieve a kind of compromise here between Webman mod and Managunz, so I figured I'd ask in the same thread. The problem is if I add transparency to avoid stretching in Webman mod Managunz doesn't show the cover at all and if I remove the transparency Managunz shows covers alright but then Webman mod stretches them.
BTW, it seems Managunz's ICON0 recognition for ISOs is aspect ratio based, am I right? And if that aspect ration is not met it shows them as cover instead. Is there a way to disable this behaviour?
Been trying to get around this for days and have tried every possible location for covers that I know of to no avail, so am at the end of my wits. Any help is appreciated.
P.S. I'm using the path of ISO folders (e.g. PS2ISO) to store the covers.
If the TITLE ID is included in the file name of the ISO, the cover is searched in the same folder or in the centralized repositories.
If the title id is not found, the cover is searched in the same path of the ISO as file name + .JPG or PNG (.iso extension is optional)
By default the online covers are served by DeViL303's online database.
However, it doesn't include PS1 or PS2 covers.
You can customize the URL for COVERS_PATH in /dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_lang/LANG_**.TXT
If you use a personal serval, the title id in cover file should be like SLUS12345.JPG

It is recommended to included the title id in the file name (because is faster to detect).
If the title id is not included in the file name, the title id for PS3 is obtained from the offset 0x810 in the ISO.
If the game is JB folder, the title id is obtained from PARAM.SFO
Some file name options are:
BLES12345-[name].iso <= multiMAN style
name [BLES12345].iso <= IRISMAN style
PS1/PS2 also support the title id like this:
SCUS_999.99.filename.iso
name [SCUS_999.99].iso
name (SCUS-12345).iso
aldo, I have my files named name [scus-99999] like this, but I have image files for them as you can see. will it still detect the image file in the multiman folder if I were to delete the images (I made them png to get the right dimensions for the case as outlined by @sandungas )? does multiman have to be installed with the right image file for this to work or can the artwork be downloaded from some online database?

Yes, the format Name [BLES-12345].iso is also detected.
It is recommended to install the multiMAN Covers Pack. It also works for IRISMAN and webMAN MOD.
multiMAN is not required to be installed for the covers pack, but it is suggested for dump games from disc.
If you have selected the option ONLINE COVERS, the plugin will first try to use the local covers. If none is found, then it will use the online covers.
The covers are searched in the same folder of the ISO and in multiMAN's covers database.
